Overnight stay for an early flight, the hotel has a huge reception which could do with some plants and flowers to make it feel a little more welcoming. Its location is very good and only a short walk to the main town and Forum shopping centre. The rooms are very basic, you have to ask for a kettle and cups for tea and they don’t provide any tea bags or milk. Breakfast, the hot plates and food even at 7am were only lukewarm however, there was a reasonable choice of other items so not a problem. Taxi to the airport 7 euros and only a 10 min drive.

Stayed here for two nights as a base to hike in the High Tatra Mountains. It was surprisingly good. The room was recently renovated to a very high standard, way beyond the standard expected for a three *** hotel. Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was also good with plenty of variety and prepared to a high standard. The hotel also offered an evening dinner buffet style for €11. I eat this one evening. There was no shortage of food- you could eat as much as you wanted. But it was more good quality canteen food than anything else; perfectly fine for the price so it is not a complaint. I suspect this would be absolutely perfect aftera long day hiking in the mountains.
