The best property in Port Blair to stay in if you're on budget. Located uphill at Machiline, Shadipur, close to all attractions like cellular jail (6 mins), jetties (15 mins), main market, most restaurants and airport (15 mins) each of which cost mere 50-60 rupees in an auto-rickshaw. Rooms, both double and triple beds, are huge, bathrooms are clean and spacious, and the room rate you pay is lower than any other similar property with much smaller rooms... The balcony cum common space in the 2nd floor has a decent sea view. The best part of the homestay is its owner Arshad and his family ***** with the housekeeping guy Javed. They are ready to help you with any request, and you don't need to worry about any travel agent, car, driver when Mr. Arshad is here who plays the role of the best tour planner at no extra cost. The drivers/contacts he provided for Port Blair (Parvez), Havelock (Amit Biswas/Deepankar) as well as for entire North Anda*** (Rashid, a gem driver cum guide) were all excellent in terms of driving, behaviour, guidance and professionalism.. Arshad even gave us contacts for water sports in Havelock at the lowest possible cost who provided us the best scuba experience ever. I am indebted to Arshad ji and Anda*** Ocean Breeze for making the 9 days Anda*** trip a perfectly smooth and memorable one for our entire family including three senior citizens. In addition, they even ***aged to decorate the room and provided cake on my father's birthday during the stay to make the occasion even more special for him. Only cons: Location, as already mentioned, is a little uphill, and difficult to walk up to the property, and it's unlikely to always find an auto-rickshaw outside. However, one can keep the phone numbers of few auto-rickshaw drivers, and call them anytime... Otherwise have to wait outside the homestay for an empty running auto-rickshaw to pass by.

We stayed in a standard deluxe room for 2 nights between 14 Feb 2020 till 16 Feb 2020 with breakfast included. It had a balcony and big house with AC. Quite clean and well maintained. Breakfast served in a separate dining hall and it was tasty. Around 1 to 1.5 km from market place. It's basically a homestay. Our check-in was smooth. It was around lunch time, we were hungry and this place is little far from all the restaurants. Owner dropped us near watch tower for lunch and he also asked, what had we visited in Anda***. When he got to know, we didn't visit Jolly Buoy Island and that was our 2nd last night in Anda***, he told us,it would be great miss if we dont visit that island. He explained us the process to get the permit. It's Limited and around 200-250 permits for a day. It was late and we were new, so he asked us for the ID proofs and got the permit for us. All thanks to him, we could visit Jolly Buoy next day. Whenever we memorize about our trip to Jolly Buoy, we thank him for all his help and support for which we could make to the island. Thank you and if at all we come back to Anda*** again we would definitely stay here. I would recommend this homestay always.
