Absolutely beautiful place to stay, we stayed in the one bedroom penthouse suite, with a private spa & BBQ area on our rooftop, it was very spacious & luxurious, our room over looked the pool bar & lagoon area, the rooms are spacious & fully contained, the staff were friendly & helpful. We absolutely loved staying here, & we will definitely stay here again. 👍👍👍👍👍

Our stay at the hotel was good, probably too many families for a honeymoon couple but that’s to no detriment to the hotel. The biggest criticism is that the day we left I phoned advising that I had left an expensive electric toothbrush and they told me someone would get back to me ASAP.. I have now phoned 3 times and sent 3 emails and no one has got back to me. We now leave Australia and back to the UK tomorrow so have no option to have it posted to an Australian address/hotel. The reception staff were great when at the hotel but disappointed with any after service.

Overall I enjoyed my time at Port Douglas but this hotel was not what I expected. It bills itself as five star but doesn’t provide a five star service and the additional facilities such as food areas are definitely only 4 star. On the plus side it is an amazing pool. The rooms are more like self contained apartments which I enjoyed and we had our own private sun and bbq area which was fantastic. The hotel is definitely more suited to families with children not a couple. The pool bar / food area was definitely below par. Overall it is an average hotel.

Great stay at the Pullman, check in was great smooth and effortless the lady (sorry I didn't get her name) it was her 4th day working and she was very warm and welcoming, she's a keeper! Also had a bottle of bubbles in our room to celebrate our anniversary, what a lovely touch! The apartment was fantastic! Spacious 2 bed with a brilliant roof terrace, BBQ, and jacuzzi, which we used every day. The additional space allowed us to make use of cooking and enjoying the time we had just the two of us. The pool was a great size and a minute walk to the gorgeous beach, which is great in the morning. We used the room service on the 1st night, the app didn't work for telephone numbers out of Australia, so we just called. A few dishes were not available, but what we did have was delicious, the restaurant and pool bar seemed to close earlier than I expected and we only just made the order for service. My only reserve is that there is no shop in close proximity or even on site. Pullman offers such a great outdoor entertaing space with nowhere to buy amenities. You can however get the shuttle into town which comes and goes when you call, but its a bit haphazard, one time it's 2min away and the next 20 min away so not reliable if you have dinner reservations. We used Uber a few times, actually. But the shuttle was needed in the pm coming back from the town. There was a really large family group checked in around us on the last day about 15 plus. And we're messing around in the pool right outside our apartment at 6.15 am. This is way too early to be woken up by other people not being considerate of the neighbours. All in all a great stay a few minor changes would make it an amazing stay!

Ok, we just spent the week here in room 112- ground floor , no swim up pool access which is ok as we would have to pay ore for that option. I will start with the Pros: The pool is absolutely fantastic, clean enough, warm and huge. We based our stay on the pool as that’s where the majority of our time was going to be spent. Loads of lounges and the bar and poolside menu was pretty good. The reception is lovely and we appreciated the welcome mock tail ( champagne was also offered) and the free drink voucher to use later. The staff are all super awesome too. Now the cons ( of which there are many ) We had no wifi access in our room for 5 of the 7 days . To their credit after we complained we were comped a free breakfast- which was very average. The room is shabby and dirty, chipped furniture, grout in shower dirty, cigarette burns in outdoor furniture, doona had various stains , fridge was woeful and froze our milk and juice solid. Even after management looked at it still no luck. No privacy as the outdoor areas are open to walkways so we had the blockout blinds down whenever we were in the room. A good idea would be double rollers with the privacy screen . Also the sliding door could only be opened and locked from inside which is a shame because that would’ve been faster for us to get to reception and the pool so instead we had to leave via the room door and walk all the way around. It’s a big complex so it does take a while to work out where you have to go and easy to get lost at the start. The King size bed is actually two single joined together so there’s an actual gap down the middle- I’ve never experienced that before. Housekeeping didn’t clean or replace used tea/ coffee cups and we only had one teaspoon. All of the bathroom amenities are in pump pack bottles, they’re lovely but not topped up and halfway through our trip the handsoap and shampoo were running very low. Parking can be scarce , luckily we eat early and get back in time to secure a park . Speaking of that, it’s too far to walk to town but that’s ok if you have a car it’s only an 6 minutes drive - we went in to Macrossan street for brekky and tea every day. Having said all of that we will come back and bring the family purely because of the pool. It’s definitely not 5 star - maybe 3, no robes or slippers for example but I understand they’re not really needed in the tropics. Oh and also the spa in our room - as big as a 8 seater dining table ! and a total waste of space - no need for it at all.

Overall massively disappointing. Property was a complete mess. The room service glasses that were outside our room from the previous guests were still there six days later when we checked out. There was rubbish thorough the stairwells, on the paths, by the pool for 6 days straight (the same stuff not new things including dirty face masks and alcohol bottles by the pool- very dangerous) all the facilities were closed - no restaurant, no room service, no pool bar, no day spa. No housekeeping except every second day. None of this was advised prior to checkin - we would have cancelled our booking and stayed somewhere else. There was no communication at all. It wasn’t until we tried to make use of facilities we’d find out they were closed. It was our honeymoon so we had high expectations and they were no where near met. If the hotel has staff shortages due to covid they should either reduce capacity to serve guests to a Pullman standard or reduce the price significantly to that of an apartment. It was way overpriced given the quality of property and price.

The staff were wonderful and I cannot fault them. The restaurant staff particularly were delightful. However the accommodation was disappointing and dated. We were particularly concerned by the bed and bedding. The pillows were foam and by far the most uncomfortable we have encountered and the duvet was brown and stained. It always revealed itself by the end of the night and clearly many, many people had had similar contact with it. Most unpleasant. A resort such as this, purporting to offer luxury, needs to hold itself to a higher standard. A shame when the staff work so hard.

This Hotel and my Room were Excellent! On Arrival I was greeted by the Front Desk Receptionist Gina who was kind and made sure I had a fantastic time throughout my stay even given me a ride on one of their carts q couple times so I didn't to carry my bags so far. The rest of the staff that I met was wonderful as well. The pool and my room was great as well. It had a balcony that I found myself falling asleep on at night. Overall this Hotel is way better than some of the reviews here make it out to be.

This is the must place to stay when in PD. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with the rooms that open to the pool being our fav. The Reception is an open space that takes in the warm climate and is the perfect welcome when you arrive. Service is impeccable and we look forward to returning soon.
