The pool area was great, the gardens were beautiful. The managers were quite helpful. Even though mostly clean the rooms were a little run down eg Couch had stains on them, microwave rusty, utensils looking worn, chips on bench, coffee table chipped and stained. The thing that disappointed us the most was supplies in the room. We were told that it there was a starter pack and that was normal in self- catering places. We disagree as we’ve stayed in many self - catering places and have had adequate supplies for our stay or provided free of charge. We ran out of supplies, toilet paper, soap, bin liner, one t- towel in a few days of our 10 day stay. We were told we had to buy them from the manager if we wanted more. Providing those little things free of charge would have made a big difference to our stay. It doesn’t cost a lot but it was the principle. As customer service it doesn’t take much to provide those small things especially if a person was spending a considerable time at their resort. Even though the resort was out of town, No dishwasher, and a bit run down, it was the fact of having to go and buy our own toilet paper, soap and having to ask for an extra bin liner etc was enough to not want to come back. When we had a towel and sheet room service after 5 days it would have cost so little to provide an updated t.towel, bin liner, toilet paper and soap. It’s that extra customer service that wants you to return. It would have been helpful to have Instructions left on how to use the microwave and the hot plate properly as there was a particular way to turn them on. We had to go and ask. Also $6.00 for the cost of the washing machines was a little high. It would have been nice to have screens on the door or be able to open the windows to have some fresh air without the worry of having flies etc in the room.

Stayed in room 46 with family and kids (10 and 8). This room was absolutely beautifully appointed with all the little things extra touches, including diffusers and a candle in the lounge room. Enjoyed sitting out on the balcony overlooking the trees and relaxing with a drink. It had a nice vibe about it. The beach only a 2 min walk and shops/dining about 10-12 min walk, although we had a car. The pool was great and there was even a fabulous bbq area where you could enjoy a nice cooked meal. Comfy beds and pillows and the kitchen had all the matching cutlery and crockery you needed. Everything cleaned to perfection. The only thing that would have made it even better would have been to have a small cafe for coffee and morning/afternoon tea items and prepackaged Sandwiches for sale. We will be traveling to port Douglas again soon and will certainly request number 46!

We LOVED Apartment 46 ! Appointed so perfectly for the space with a lovely balcony and a leafy outlook ! Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and the kitchen was functional with everything one would need. The grounds and pool were lovely, and the staff were gorgeous ! An easy walk to town and beach as others have mentioned. We are due back in Port Douglas in a few months and will definitely be reserving #46 !

Very Family friendly establishment ran by 2 very hospitable people who were willing to cater for our needs without hesitation. Great BBQ and pool area with plenty of shade if required. 5 min walk to the beach 2min drive to the ain drag. Highly recommend for families with mid range accommodation budget…

Had a great time. Our room was wonderful. Soft bed, great aircon and shower, big balcony. Loved the pool area and BBQ area well kept. The tropical gardens were lovely. Leigh was friendly and we will return. Well positioned with beach and town too.

This is a good value resort, a little older so a bit rough around the edges, but comfortable, well located and with a friendly team. Don't stay here if you are worried about a bit of rust on a fan or a broken tile or 2. But if you don't mind then there is a 2 minute walk to the beach, a short stroll to the main street and a bottle shop and Chinese restaurant across the road. We would stay here again.

The resort itself was great, pool was great, location etc. The room itself was a bit run down and lacking in the basics such as cutlery, dishes etc. We had to purchase a few things to make it usable. It was okay, just very basic. The management were lovley and responded as required.

One would think you pay for an extra guest, you would be afforded the extra bedding and linen and towel . Left note for housekeeping yet nothing actioned . Approx $280 extra to have to sleep on the lounge .. Other than that , average at best.

Great location! Not very clean accommodation. Very old and rusty bathroom, average shower. Swimming pool doesn’t open till 9, kids are out and about early so this made it difficult. Great parking facilities, easy access to beach behind the property.

Unfortunately -There was nothing to like. Booked and paid for 1 week and stayed one night - found a much better place to stay at. Wasnt worth the refund.

It wasn’t fully cleaned & we didn’t get much information about the area .Also there were ants & we didn’t get an iron for the first three days

Filthy, need to look at a new cleaner !! And please do not say "it's the tropics, you have to expect that". What i expect of a 4 star resort is NOT - cobwebs and dust on the lounge room lamp, dust, dirt and cobwebs on the screens, exhaust fan over stove dirty and rusted, cutlery dirty, dishes and plates dirty and saucepan with food still stuck on the inside of it. Bathtub and bathroom need serious work and no hair-dryer!! The TV would only work on the one kids station, and no DVD that was usable, also remote control in cupboard with DVD player covered in a layer of dust. Our outlook was onto a garden that was overgrown and full of debris. Both my daughter and my grandson as well as me left there with sore throats and unwell. There is a lot more I could say but I think I have said enough to alert other holiday makers to be wary of the 4 stars because it definitely is not !!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Reef Club, for the what you pay and the value in return it was worth it. A small note on things like no additional toilet paper, tissues, travel soaps and/or shampoo's being unavailable after you go through your 'starter kit' to us seemed a bit borderline, but the rooms are neat, the place is full of character, you can walk to the beach and every morning and night you can hear all that terrific wildlife that lives on the doorstep. Thanks.

Great location, ladies in front desk helpful & friendly, nice roomy unit & very well priced, definitely would stay there again
