The wait staff are very welcoming and attentive. The restaurant was busy, but we felt well taken care of. The fish sandwich and the roti were both very good, and the homemade Red Velvet cake is to die for. My passion fruit daiquiri didn't really taste of passion fruit, but was lovely just the same. We found the price of San Pellegrino at $18. US a bottle was a bit over the top.

We have recently returned from our 2nd visit to The Liming, and what an improvement! Ian, the new GM has really got a grip of the catering, and service, making this a wonderful location. One feature of the local charm is the cats that live in the gardens on the property. We discovered that a local charity BAPA – The Bequia Animal Protection Alliance, working alongside the local vet, Dr. Saskia Gooding – exists in nearby Port Elizabeth. Whilst at the Liming we were happy to set up a regular donation with them, specifically to look after the cats, and to administer an ongoing neutering programme. The value of this was underlined by the fact that a young cat, who was visibly pregnant, was found dead on the property the day after we had left. Dr. Gooding has agreed to update us regularly on her own website, as to how she finds the health and welfare of the animals going forward. The overall service here is fantastic. Our group had a five bedroom villa with fantastic views and a private swimming pool and dipping pool. The greeting when we arrived was fantastic.Our driver arriving and leaving was also exceptional. The cleaning crew had everything pristine. Lovely beach. The only weak spot is the restaurant. We only stayed two nights prior to sailing for a week. That meant two breakfasts and two dinners. Although the dining area was lovely, and the cocktails were great, table service was awful, which was really amazing, given how great the service was in every other way. Food was just OK, and my husband, who has celiac disease clearly got gluten the morning we left and was extremely ill on the way to the marina at St. Vincent. If you want to eat elsewhere it was not convenient since The Liming is off the beaten path. A lovely place, but you're not going to walk anywhere.

This is the perfect place to restore your soul. The photos don’t do justice to the aesthetic and quality of the beautiful bungalows-with their own small but perfect pools. Days spent here reading to the sound of the waves, watching the inter island planes fly over the lovely restaurant. The team are phenomenal- helpful and friendly, they all take pride in their work. Ri and Declan cook some of the best food we have had in the Caribbean and we’re happy to accommodate requests. Overall, we felt the resort offers excellent value, it really is barefoot luxury; totally relaxed. Special shout outs for Celeste and the housekeeping team, Antonia, Kashelle and Asha in the restaurant and the ever charming Esau in the bar. Even the maintenance team are delightful. Some options on the menu and the wines are subject to delivery issues. The new management team are working hard to make the Liming a special place - and it is.

After purchasing a day pass , we waited an hour and half for main meal to come out. Given that we were only there for 3.5. this was totally inexcusable. There were 18 in our party for lunch, spaced out from 12-3, apart from 2 families you had as hotel guests the place was empty. Beach indulgence this certainly wasn't !

From the moment we arrived, Shadell, Tyra, and Chef Ray embraced us with warmth, making us feel like part of the family. Shadell and Tyra’s radiant smiles set the tone for each day, filling it with positivity and joy. The service was consistently superior and timely, with every request attended to gracefully and with charm. Interim GM Pascal, from the Plantation Resort, provided exceptional executive oversight and personalized support. From arranging transportation to facilitating memorable excursions, Pascal ensured that we fully experienced the intimacy and beauty of the island. Chef Ray was a true culinary artist, accommodating any dish we desired—even those not on the resort’s menu. His flexibility and talent added a unique and delightful touch to our stay. The resort itself is the epitome of first-class luxury. True to its mantra, The Art of Doing Nothing, the ambience, beauty, and comfort of The Liming made it effortless to relax and unwind. I highly recommend The Liming and am already looking forward to our return. To the owners: your staff—Shadell, Tyra, Ray, and Pascal—is the greatest amenity of all. They deserve the highest praise and thanks for making our stay unforgettable.
