This hotel is located in the middle of Portland and there’s no parking spots that you can get without spending an arm and a leg. They have their own valet service but I honestly would rather have a parking lot I can park in myself. The valet guy is super nice though and I liked him a lot. He’s doing a great job and is very personable, I hope he sees this! If you book a stay online and it says you can pay in person, just know there’s a 100 dollar hold on your card, so make sure you have 100 extra in your account. I didn’t realize that because I’ve never stayed at a hotel that puts a hold on your card, though I’ve heard from other friends that it’s pretty normal. So we didn’t get to stay because I didn’t realize that. I booked a stay there because I really wanted to use a hot tub, but they told me that their hot tub wasn’t even working. So I ended up booking a night at the Ramada for 61 bucks, and guess what? They have a working hot tub. They also have a fitness center and the room was nice. I really enjoyed the stay. I didn’t even know they had a hot tub so it truly worked out amazingly and I got exactly what I desired for 130 bucks less! I’m not saying that this place is bad. I’m sure it’s quite good in many ways. But I did get everything I was looking for from a way cheaper place

The room type displayed at ******* was different from the one that I received at the property. I chose to go with the property as I saw from the photo that deluxe king room would have a large window and a deck that opens to the room. When I arrived, I was assigned the room with a much smaller window with no deck access. I've took it to the front desk and got assigned with the 2nd room that had a bigger window - but received no natural light and still no deck access. I don't know which party is responsible for showing the room type, but I felt deceived how different the condition of the room was from what I actually got. The room was out-dated and it had an alarm setup - thatI was informed - that woke me up on 5am. The heater setup was extremely loud and drying that I couldn't get a good night's sleep. I won't recommend this property.

I loved this hotel and the old charm it offers. The area is really clean and close to shops and multiple restaurants. Everyone who works here was very nice and helpful and the valet parking makes it easy to drop your car off when you return. The rooms were a good size, with comfy beds.

So I had a reservation thru ******* which they had difficulty finding and then when I went to sign my dining bill to my room, it took him a bit to find me. Everything else was excellent. I believe the computer system needs to be more refund defined.

Beautiful hotel. Loved the lounge area with the fireplace and wingback chairs. Room was roomy and great large bathroom. Only complaint would have is they need to replace mattress. Bothvof us woke up with back pain. Staff was very friendly. Great location for old market area.

Can’t wait to make a return visit. Room, hotel location, friendly staff and armory lounge were all excellent. My wife and I had a great weekend trip.

Favorite place to stay in Portland. Staff always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rooms clean, comfortable and well done.

Enjoyable 2 night stay in the heart of Portland, Maine. The staff was exceptional, very friendly and efficient.

This is a convenient location in the Old Port area to walk around. Close to the Cross Arena for shows.

Very pleasant gentlemen on morning and night shifts. Informed and willing to please with a bright attitude. Kudos to your laundry crew, the bed linens were perfect, a comment I rarely make!

Visiting from New York because my son had a snowboard accident and ended up in Maine Medical Center less than 10 minutes away from the hotel. The free valet service drove me to and from the hospital the entire stay. They were fantastic. The hotel is located right in the middle of Old Port so walking everywhere was super nice. The hotel had a quaint charm to it and was kept very clean. My room with a king bed was cozy with a good size, clean bathroom. The front desk staff were excellent. If revisiting Portland, I would definitely stay here again.

Nice property convenient to the Merril auditorium. room was nice, large screen tv deck with a view. restaurants - bars on premises were good.

The Portland Regency Hotel and Spa is beautiful. It's in the old Portland Armory and has been skillfully transformed into a gorgeous and comfortable hotel. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended !
