科珀斯克里斯蒂-波特蘭Candlewood Suites

The hotel was very clean, front desk personnel was friendly and fast. We loved how clean everything was and the suite had a kitchenette, dishwasher, refrigerator and dishes, glasses etc. room had a tall mirror, recliner and soap n shampoo in shower and sink area.

We stayed at Candlewood Suites Corpus Christi / Portland in October 2021. When we arrived in the evening the hotel entrance and lobby was very dirty and full of mud from all the oil workers walking in and out. Otherwise the hotel looked quite new. Our booked two room suite for four persons was still occupied when we arrived and no other suitable room was available for us! The hotel didn´t try to call and tell us about that problem. So they gave us a normal king studio for just two persons instead - but we were travelling with two kids! So it ended up that one of our kids had to spend the whole night on the floor in front of our bed (luckily we had an air mattress with us) and one was lying in the middle of our bed. Our evening was also ruined, cause we weren´t able to talk or watch TV anymore because of the sleeping kids in the same room. The next day the manager Jasmine offered us a ridiculous 20% compensation which was not even the difference between the booked and the received room. All in all I had to call hotelscom, IHG and the hotel in Corpus Christi in total eight (!) times to receive a full refund. This is not the customer service I expect from a hotel chain. Next time I will think twice before I book with them again. Luckily it seems there is again a new manager on duty now.
