New Year’s Eve night so of course it can be loud but people were screaming & yelling in their rooms all night till 5:30am. Called the reception at 3pm: nothing happened. Check In process wasnt what I expect in these kind of hotels. The receptionist couldnt care less. On New Year’s evening the bar closed at 10pm. Really??

Great location and friendly staff. Haven't stayed here since the Benchmark group took over the property from Westin, but was glad to see it hadn't changed very much. There were a few cleanliness issues in the room (some sticky residue left on a nightstand and the bluetooth speaker) and a problem with the thermostat; I alerted staff to the second issue and it was resolved. Also had a very enjoyable first evening at The Alder lounge, although the heat could be turned up in there - found it very cold! Overall though, I really enjoy this hotel and will likely return if I have a chance.

As soon as you arrive at Dossier you can tell it's going to be a great property and that feeling is elevated when you enter the building. Lovely accents, woods and tile, and all around classy environment. Staff was helpful, kind and attentive. The room was impeccably clean and spacious and the bathroom was enormous with a standing shower, and a separate soaking tub. Beds were comfortable, warm, and the pillows were perfect with a choice between firm and soft. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back to the property.

Your staff was young and inexperienced - from check in onward. Bartenders were serving food/mixing drinks/garnishing and handling ice (by hand) and money without washing their hands. I ordered Fish and Chips-I got a French potato croquette and fries...not the same thing. We stopped ordering cocktails due to the lack of handwashing...just poured wine. Valets were young and too casual in language, one of them asked us "what have you been doing?" We have stayed in the hotel through x3 different brands over the years...we are likely not to stay again.

We had a beautiful stay. Hotel was everything we hoped for and more. Loved the complimentary diet cokes we were given after we came in from a long night so thirsty n wanting to do nothing but go to our room and for relax. The valet were gentlemen and one very sweet lady. The desk personnel were well spoken and informative. We missed eating in the restaurant due to the nature of our stay but we heard positive things. We had some complimentary apples and sat for a while in the living room type sitting area. Felt elegant n warm. Rooms were spacious, clean and the shower n tub combo was a plus. The only thing I was hoping for from such an upscale hotel is an airport shuttle. Rolled our luggage to the Max light rail not too far away to avoid taking a overpriced Uber at tgst oarticular time of day. Gave us a chance to see some things as we exited the city. I would highly recommend The Dossier Hotel to my colleagues and friends. I will 100% stay here again if I come back in to Portland. Ms. Betters

Once you get inside it’s a great hotel. Portland just does have a homeless problem but people tend to leave each other alone. The hotel did not have a charging station for non-Tesla which is disappointing as I rented an EV and had to pay for parking to charge and parking at the hotel.

Upon arrival, the valet staff were too busy to come and take care of the customer. I went to them and ask for direction on what needs to be done! For 55$ I would like to think at least someone would greet you and take your keys! No door man, and the doors were not automatic so imagine you have luggages and needing to open heavy door at the same time. Room was full of dust, shower was nasty and they didn’t care to clean it properly so there were hair all over the drain! Sheets had gray spots on it. All and all I do not recommend this hotel if you care about service. Staff need proper training and up their game! Not satisfied to say the least!

It was a great stay. It would have been nice if our trash got cleared out at least 1 during our 3 day stay. Area itself felt unsafe with the amount of homelessness and ********** around such a nice hotel.

During the first night of a two-night stay, i discovered there was a small, yippy dog in the room next door. Like a smoke alarm with an ailing battery, the dog yip about every 45 minutes through the night. When I inquired at the front desk how long the party was staying, the front desk immediately whisked me off to a room at the other end of the same floor. It was perfect. To that end, I have been staying a lot of hotels lately. The Dossier has the most comfortable beds by far.
