Woodlark overall is a clean property with friendly staff, although many additional items like iron, robes etc needed to be asked for (and in most cases I needed to ask many times which makes me look bad - they would never bring things up the first time). Coffee is available at the cafe and delicious No parking available at the hotel, valet is $50 and parking can be found a few blocks away for $32 overnight...kinda annoying. On that note, the area around the hotel is quite sketchy as well and I didn't feel like I got the value of a high quality hotel - they even charge a destination fee everyday - paid $125 for 5 days in destination fees alone...this was anything but a destination. 1/5 - and the 1 is mainly for cleanliness and friendly staff

No parking but noticed that they have parking. A lot of homeless people are around, danger to leave a car. Even people in this area told me that is not safe at night time.

Advertise “parking” but is $50 a night valet, that doubles on weekends. Also charged basically double for the room for an unknown “amenities charge” because they offer a bar, restaurant, and coffee shop. All of which you have to pay for on top of the absurd charge. Breakfast doesn’t exist. Can’t get a black coffee. I like to experiment with my drinks a little and taste new things, but the bar didn’t even have a normal drink option other than all their “unique” drinks on the menu. Staff all around was very friendly, helpful and welcomed you back with a smile every day.

The hotel lobby and bar were beautiful, but when I arrived to check in, the hotel was syncing their IT system and having issues so my room was not ready for 2 hrs. The staff was nice, and I totally understood. However, after working in the hospitality industry for many years, I thought it was odd that no one offered me anything like a cocktail that afternoon or a latte in the morning for the inconvenience of having traveled all day and then not being able to check in, lay down, and change my clothes before going out that night. Other people waiting in line at the check in desk who also experienced the same room shortage issue were offered a complimentary cocktail or glass of wine from the bar. They should have made and given out coupons / vouchers for a freee drink or latte. It would’ve gone a long way in my book. The room itself was nice, but had a very bad & very strong smell (sort of similar to moth balls). Normally, I would have asked to switch to a new room, but since they were dealing their IT system, I did not want to wait another 2-3 hours for another room to open up. Since returning home from the hotel, my clothes now smell like the hotel room. Only half of the lamps and lights in my room would turn on. No mini bar. The hotel was conveniently only 2 blocks from light rail train (to/from airport). There is also a target 1 block away in case you forget anything. Lots of cute restaurants and coffee shops in the area. Drinks at bar were good

I believe I got unlucky with an older room that did not match the photos on the hotel’s website. Lobby is nice. The bar looked nice. There is a $75/day holding charge and $29/day amenities fee (not stated until checkout). The fees include a “welcome drink” upon check-in, but that was not provided. Be sure to request this. A “well and fit kit” is also stated as part of the fees on the website, but was also not provided.

The front desk staff were very friendly and the coffee shop in the lobby served great coffee. The worst thing about this property is a massive construction site across the street. The work began at the site by five every morning that we were there. Also, every time we needed to get our car from the valet service it took at least forty minutes of waiting to get it. Finally, we had several small housekeeping issues that needed taken care of and we had to make multiple requests before they were addressed.

Front desk staff need more training. Wanted to argue about having to pay for the room when it was already paid for. Once I showed proof, no apology given.

From the moment we arrived the staff, atmosphere and hospitality was amazing. Rooms were awesome priced well and very lovely overall stay
