施魏格爾酒店(Hotel Schwaiger)

Die Fotos hielten, was sie versprachen - wir haben ein wundervolles, sauberes und gut eingerichtetes Zimmer genossen, hatten ganz oben sogar noch Dachfenster, mit denen wir echt gut schlafen konnten. Man hätte die zwar mit den automatischen Rollos schließen können, aber wir genossen viel lieber die Morgensonne! Auch das Frühstück war wirklich gut, selbst Waffeln konnte man sich dort selbst machen! Danke für die schöne Zeit!

진짜 너무 좋아요!! 룸과화장실도 완벽하고 프라하 중심가와는 차로 10-15분 정도의 거리밖에 안되서 이동하기 편해요. 동네가 조용해서 밤엔 푹 쉴수 있어서 좋았어요!! 그리고 조식이 너무 맘에 들었어요!! 종류가 많은 건 아니지만 음식에서 굉장히 정성이 느껴 졌어요.

A lovely boutique hotel at a quiet but scenic location, just a few moments walk from . Stormovka park & Hradchanka metro station. And a 25 minutes stroll from the Charles Bridge. With a great continental breakfast & a cosy little restaurant. The stuff is very outgoing and cooperative. We had an excellent time there!

Such an amazing weekend, with the hotel being one of the best we’ve stayed at. The included breakfast every morning was great, the room itself was beautiful, and the area was quiet. We slept like a dream every single night, and the staff were so so helpful. We even got a free mini bottle of champagne which was a nice touch. The mini-bar beers were very reasonable (£1.75 each) - I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Prague.

As a 4* hotel, Hotel Schwaiger offers very attractive prices at the time of my booking. So what's the catch in the deal? Did it really live up to my expectation of a 4* hotel? First the location. It wasn't that much of a good start. It was not within the walking distance of the old town, and the nearest metro/tram stop Hradčanská is 15 min walk away, and it definitely wasn't pleasant to drag your luggage through the cobble stoned pavements uphill and downhill. (it was a good test of how durable your luggage wheels were) There was a restaurant immediately opposite the hotel (as well as the hotel's own restaurant). But other than these if you need other food, or a supermarket or any other shop then you had to go back to Hradčanská. Being near to Hradčanská has its own advantages. It is very close to the castle hill and it is a very convenient traffic hub to lots of places, including Cesky Krumlov. So besides the location, were there any other alarm bells? Well in the one night that I stayed (Unfortunately due to adverse weather conditions, we could only arrive a few days later and so our stay here was just 1 night instead of 4.) I really couldn't find anything. We got the attic room and it was spacious, clean and modern. I guess it was more like a penthouse than an attic as I didn't feel cramped there. Even the bathroom was spacious. You got all the modern amenities that you would get in a 4* hotel, including a coffee machine, an electronic safe and some slippers. (Yes you had to climb up the last flight of stairs as the lift could not reach there but that's understandable for an attic room) The beds were comfortable and being in a "remote" location means it was really quiet at night. I guess the best part of our one night stay was really the breakfast in the next morning. The choices were plentiful and the quality was good, even the fried eggs tasted fresh and seasoned, and you could make your own waffle. It was a shame we didn't have a chance to try out the hotel's restaurant for other meals due to our limited time there. All in all, if you do not mind the location I think this hotel is perfect.

The hotel is in accessible because it was road construction surrounding the hotel. Parking was not available as stated. Only street parking if you could find. Arriving in the rain there was no easy access to the hotel and to drag luggage. Great first impression. The room was ok except for the presence of cigarette smoke. I complained but they say it’s fine. It wasn’t. I have allergies and I couldn’t sleep in this cigarette reeked facility. Our instinct was to leave at the beginning of of stay but we prepaid. Breakfast included was barely passible. Runny scrambled cold eggs is not my thing. Only the coffee was good. I would not recommend this hotel unless you like getting to your room via an outside corridor like a motel in Florida. When it’s raining you are wet getting to your room.

Zimmer schön, Betten sehr bequem, Bad geräumig und sehr sauber Täglich eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit: Flasche Wasser, Piccolo mit nettem Gruß Frühstücksbuffet vielseitig, nachhaltig: mit verschiedenen Brotaufstrichen, kleinen Vorspeisen, Früchten, Joghurts u.a. in Gläsern Leckerer Kaffee zum selberholen von Kaffeevollautomat - soviel man möchte Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites, junges Personal an der Rezeption und im Speisesaal Verständigung komplikationslos in englisch Lift für 2 von 3 Stockwerke vorhanden Normaler Straßenlärm Parkmöglichkeiten nur in Seitenstraßen auf bestimmten Plätzen mit blauer Linie möglich, aber das Personal erklärt gut um diese zu finden Max. 25 min zu Fuß zur Josephsbrücke/Zentrum Anfang, Karlsbrücke sichtbar, nicht mehr weit entfernt
