We initially had a very positive experience with Sarel – he was friendly, welcoming, and reassured my wife multiple times that she could get ready at the guest house for our wedding. He even upgraded her to a bigger room a few days before, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the actual experience was very disappointing. The night before the wedding, when I dropped my wife off, someone at the property (whether Sarel or a guest) was extremely rude and shouted at the person assisting us with check-in. Not long after, my wife called saying she felt unsafe because of noises and unpleasant behavior, so I had to fetch her again. On the wedding day, things got even worse. My photographers and videographer were spoken to rudely for entering through the “wrong” gate, even though Sarel had confirmed multiple times that photos and videos would be no problem. At 2 pm they were abruptly told to leave, cutting the photoshoot short. To make matters worse, cleaning staff came into the room while the final photos were being taken. This was unprofessional and extremely disappointing. You don’t reassure a bride she can get ready at the venue and then cut her time short and chase her team away on her wedding day. Over the phone, everything seemed pleasant. In person, the experience was the complete opposite.
