Last minute booking after a concert in Pretoria, so we expected it to be busy. Staff was helpful. Not a 4 star hotel though. Room smelt like the toilet had a leak. Woke. Up by Taxis started hooting outside at 5am on a Sunday! Breakfast was ok but hotel was very busy

Staff at reception was very friendly and accomodating. The bar is not stocked. No working aircon in the public areas. One coffee machine during breakfast for full breakfast hall. Bathroom is moulding with awful smell. Aircon and Telephone does not work. Took 45 minutes to try order room service after calling twice. Paid for desert that never arrived with meal. Waiter for room service was very friendly. In short if it wasn't for the staff this staff would have been a complete mess.

This property is certainly not at the level of a typical Southern Sun Hotel. The features and fittings are old and both the dinner and breakfast were poor in terms of quality and variety. The noise generated from hooting taxis in the CBD make sleep difficult and the air-conditioning in the rooms was ineffective. Overall, a disappointing and underwhelming first visit to this hotel.

I stayed at the Southern Sun for 2 nights on a business trip. On arrival, the welcome was a bit dull and you are left to figure out where to go by yourself. Check in was smooth and uneventful. Staff at the front desk were OK but could be more friendlier and welcoming. The hotel has a fairly nice lobby though it has limited seating spaces. The room was quite spacious though it was just basic . Most of the things in the room are falling apart e.g. broken light in the bathroom, stained bathroom floors, old furniture etc. The internet in the room was on the slow side. The breakfast was also just basic with limited variety. The restaurant needs some touch ups - it was not the cleanest I have been to and most of the chairs were stained with dirt. Overall, I would say the hotel needs some good tender loving care and upgrading. I recommend the hotel just for short stays.

Not sure how this is 4-star. Maybe in the 80s. The hotel is well-located but definitely not your only option so pick wisely. There wasn't even a porter or anyone to welcome at the door, but Siphiwe at front desk was sweet. The rooms are dated and small and smell musty. Not enough two point plugs and none near the bed. Bathrooms are really dated and tiny. But at least the towels and bedding were decent. Construction was happening on the top floor which wasn't great. The access cards still require insertion to work and even then it was a struggle in the lifts and at your room door. Room service was extremely slow (I had to call 3 times and I'm convinced they forgot my order twice). Food that arrived was really poor but I was hungry. The veggie sides looked like they had come off someone else's plate the day before. I was so put off by the food that I had fast food from outside for dinner and didn't even go to breakfast. On check out they couldn't even reverse my credit card pre-authorisation and Goodman and his colleague showed no concern or empathy. I'm still waiting on my money to be refunded. Southern Sun is my preferred hotel chain but I won't stay here again.

Booked into Hotel mobile phone ! Wednesday afternoons on ! Easy Booking ! Visit to Dr the following day Thursday . Room 320 - R1600 +_ Good value I thought ! The room overlooking the street was so noisy with taxis hooting for hours ! The taxis appear to hoot to attract cliental . 9 pm in evening hooting ! 5.30 am hooting continuously ! This is an invasion of one privacy !! Shocking especially when one has paid a substantial sum to sleep over in a name brand hotel ! I have taken a video of the vehicles and hooting !!

Hotel Ben gestito, personale alla reception molto gentile. La zona è discreta, c’è un mall vicino. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Camere molto spaziose, l’unica pecca la vasca da bagno invece che la doccia. Per il resto lo consiglierei.

Access is via an escalator, stairs or lift as on first floor. Rooms were adequate but found the dining room to be lacking, with not a huge selection of choice. The floor was also sticky. Staff were fine. But overall we stayed in several of these hotels during our tour and this wasn't the best one. We didn't go out in the evening the guide said it wasn't safe to wander around the area, so you are stuck with the hotel food.

Hotel booked by the tour operator. Service was slow, some staff rude but others very pleasant. No tonic water, draught beer, nor several other bottled beers on the drink’s menu. Burger was not cooked so sent back. Hotel is tired and needs refurbishing. Correctly advised not to leave the hotel at night but the ‘a la carte’ dining was served in the bar at the bar tables. Can’t sign for your meals and drinks and pay on leaving the hotel, as they insist on immediate payment but I guess I can understand that if they have had problems in the past. This warrants a 3 star rating and staff need training in the hospitality industry

Always has the best Cuisine on offer, this is the place to be in Pretoria, the hospitality are on par with the Southern Sun standards of excellence.The rooms and conference centers are high tech and very convenient for those with corporate needs.

I really liked this hotel. Large, good food and comfortable. A special shout out to Martha who really helped is when we faced a problem with transport. The decor is welcoming and I would stay here again. It's not a 5 star review because the air conditioning was relatively ineffective but that was the only gripe.

Great place to reconnect with your family, the activities they have are fun, they are designed fir yiu cinbect with fimily, food was bauetiful and taste realy good, staff was fruendly and helpfukk great service i would go back agsin anytime

Friendly staffs, clean rooms, good foods. I stayed for a conference, and conference facility was very good too. Staffs were all friendly. And next day they will remember your name and provide you with tailor made service. Fitness center is clean and tidy.

The place is brilliant, the service and staff are very friendly. However I was in room 322 and I couldn’t get quality sleep due to the endless hooting from vehicles (mostly taxis) outside.The hooting is very frustrating and irritating.
