We have stayed here several times in the past. On arrival it looked ,particularly on the balcony scruffy and need of a coat of paint. Check in was not welcoming and the receptionist seemed more interested in us proving our identity than welcoming a returning guest. We booked a luxury room number two which was spacious but lacked that luxury touch No fridge,vanity kit etc The real dissatisfaction was when we went to bed ,there were hairs in the bed in various places indicating that the bottom sheet had not been changed. We requested a manager who came and changed all the linen and towels We asked for the bill and said we would not stay for breakfast as our conference in the hotel hygiene standards had evaporated. They gave us a thirty percent discount but you get twenty per cent for early booking!! It’s not about the Monet but we left disappointed and don’t feel able to return or recommend. Not good for PrinceAlbert ,guests ,staff and hotel. Unnecessary problem that could have been handled better. Management rather than staff.
