蒙特斯瓦特貝戈酒店(Mont d'Or Swartberg Hotel)

Het oude nostalgische hotel mag een opknapbeurt krijgen wat de kamers en de ontbijtruimte betreft . Wij hadden een afgelegen kamer klein en ouwbollig voor een behoorlijke prijs gezien de andere hotels die we bezocht hadden in die tijd . Ook het ontbijt wat inbegrepen was , was slecht , een onsymphatieke blanke vrouw die er rond liep , en koffie die al een uur op een warmhoudplaatje stond . Het restaurant was die avond gesloten ivm een grote groep Thaise motorrijders . Gelukkig voor ons dat het zo was . We hebben die avond super lekker gegeten bij de Rude Chef gelegen aan de overkant fantastische tent. Omdat er in deze buurt niet veel hotels zijn ben je op deze aangewezen . Kamers waren wel schoon . Ook de Gin bar is leuk alhoewel er op koudere dagen wel wat meer zit gelegenheid binnen mag zijn . Zie dit verhaal niet te negatief maar als opbouwende kritiek.

the place is beautiful but very dated. It is dusty, window frames are rotten. You can see from everything that it was once a very stately hotel. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast in the nearby bakery was delicious.

I do not appreciate the hotel hosting a car rally and experiencing all the revving and noise the cars made last weekend (21/22 March), really as a visiting outsider I expect peace and quiet in the village and not find small willy wankers showing off with noise cars - do not appreciate it and will not make use of the hotel again in our future visits to Prince Albert!!!!!

Cottage set in garden back from Main Street was quite and well appointed restaurant was great. Wonderful staff. Total in middle of town walking distance to shops. Room air conditioning was much appreciated

The friendly service, the cleanliness, the best location in town and the delicious food make this hotel a must visit.ons sal beslis weer daar gaan bly en dan sommer vir n paar dae. Die personeel se diens en gasvryheid was uitstekend.

We have stayed here several times in the past. On arrival it looked ,particularly on the balcony scruffy and need of a coat of paint. Check in was not welcoming and the receptionist seemed more interested in us proving our identity than welcoming a returning guest. We booked a luxury room number two which was spacious but lacked that luxury touch No fridge,vanity kit etc The real dissatisfaction was when we went to bed ,there were hairs in the bed in various places indicating that the bottom sheet had not been changed. We requested a manager who came and changed all the linen and towels We asked for the bill and said we would not stay for breakfast as our conference in the hotel hygiene standards had evaporated. They gave us a thirty percent discount but you get twenty per cent for early booking!! It’s not about the Monet but we left disappointed and don’t feel able to return or recommend. Not good for PrinceAlbert ,guests ,staff and hotel. Unnecessary problem that could have been handled better. Management rather than staff.

A good stay in hot town with great access to mountain passes. A classic hotel that ooses history and character. Easy to find and parking is secure. A great complex that isn’t too commercialised but very relaxed.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The staff were friendly and efficient from booking to checking out. The rooms were clean and the garden in the back was so surprising in the otherwise dry Karoo. The food was excellent. Every one in the group enjoyed the stay.

Centrally located. Rooms with the balcony are spacious and the balcony is lovely, great place to have a morning coffee or evening drink. Staff is very friendly and dinner in the Victorian Room was excellent. The pool was a good size and nice place to cool down in.
