Very beautiful hotel. Services met. Comfortable sheets and robes.

Surroundings not suitable for family with small kids with homeless shelters

Such a disappointment. Reception staff were friendly enough but felt like the place was about to close down! No bar open no restaurant. Absolutely nothing resembled the photos or description. Actually checked our reservation twice to make sure we’d got the right hotel! Unfortunately we had.

The staff were incredible from the minute we arrived. The suite was spacious and beds perfect. So easy to walk to PPAC to see the show. The highlight was breakfast the next morning. We are five sisters who were treated like royalty by the staff. Thanks for making this trip delightful and delicious. Dorinda,Danea, Joyce, Susan and Alice

They Hydrangea House was wonderful. We loved our room, the proximity to everything we wanted to see and do, the staff and the amazing breakfasts. They had so many special touches from wine and cheese in the afternoon to delicious homemade cookies after dinner. We appreciated the parking as well. It is a lovely Inn and we look forward to going back.

This property is in a wonderful location , the rooms are clean, the staff pleasant, the beds comfortable. However, we are gluten-free and fairly lactose intolerant. So the breakfasts don't work for us. We have been coming to Hamoton Inns for many years. In the past, at other Hampton Inns, GF bread has been available, as have hard-boiled eggs. A suggestion: almond milk is available, but those who need almond milk can't eat the eggs, because they are nade with cow milk. Why not make the scrbled eggs with no milk and a tiny bit of water? That's what I do at home.

I guess I should lower my expectations. I’ll leave my review of the original hotel I booked elsewhere. This was my backup. Checking: the gentleman who checked us in seemed distracted. We got our keys and went upstairs, only to find our keys did not work. Thankfully there was a very kind security personnel walking by, and she got us into the room. She also said “we’ve been having issues with the keys all day”. If that’s the case, it would have been nice to have been told that when I checked in. She called to the front desk from our room to ask for 2 new keys. They never came. I had to call separately and then they arrived. The room is clean. A little rust at the drain of the tub. The tv is woefully small for the room and the furniture. Like 2004 small. No, I’m not kidding.

Do not stay here. Hotel is so old, room has a musky smell and carpet looks so nasty. When I asked for a different room that’s more updated, front desk said nothing was available and all rooms needed to be updated and the building is from 1800s. Carpet is so old, I was afraid to open the closet, not sure what was in there.
