The room that we stayed in was not clean at all. There was trash under the bed when we arrived. When I laid down it was ridiculously hard, which I then discovered was because the mattress had been entirely flipped upside down to hide the stains and burn holes, so the sheet was actually on the bottom of the mattress. The couch had hardened food of some sort on it? Honestly could be blood. In addition the smoke alarm batteries were removed, there were no window screens, mold/horrible smell in the bathroom, and most of the surfaces were sticky/dirty. There were also two homeless people sleeping on the steps and their belongings are all over the entrance to the building, so if you can't find the door just look for that.

This is not a hotel, it is a scam! There are no employees to help with anything and, it is dark and unsafe. We did not even have a cover on the duvet. They advertise an “innovative self check in system” and the official directions for checking in include asking the Ben & Jerry’s staff where to find the entrance.

Room was very nice! We got a private bedroom and it was clean and had lockable boxes for valuables (bring a combination lock though). The bathrooms on our floor were fine, although there was no hand soap or paper towels. The kitchen was kinda gross, with lots of uncovered leftover food in the fridge. However, the main problem with this hostel was that it was… Located directly above a nightclub? The music in our room was just as loud as you would expect until 1 am, even though quiet hours were listed as 12 am to 8 am and the nightclub said it closed at 12 pm. So maybe do not stay if you have little kids or have to wake up super early (at least on the weekend)!
