希普萊斯別墅酒店(Hotel Villa Cipressi, by R Collection Hotels)

Visitando lo splendido giardino abbiamo avuto la sfortunata idea di fermarci all’incantevole bar per prendere due caffè e un marocchino al banco (sottolineo in piedi!!!). Il conto? 17 euro Abbiamo pagato come se fossimo stati seduti (immagino) con tanto di scontrino che segna un tavolo 12 senza che nessuno ci abbia chiesto di accomodarci o almeno fatto presente che non davano servizio al banco! Neanche in piazza del Duomo a Milano mi è mai capitato un conto simile. Per la mia esperienza … vergognosi!

Nous sommes restés une nuit mais nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps ! Nous avons été accueillis avec une boisson et snacks de bienvenue! Cet hôtel est charmant et pourvu d’un très grand et très beau jardin botanique qui nous permet de nous promener en bord du lac de Côme. Le cadre est splendide. L’intérieur de l’hôtel a son style à lui rappelant l’époque. Le personnel est aux petits soins et très serviable. Notre chambre était propre, spacieuse, et avec une vue sur le lac, c’était un réel bonheur de séjourner dans cet endroit si paisible. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux. Nous reviendrons!

During my trip to Como Lake, my group stayed in various places & hotels. The stay in Hotel Villa Cipressi, in Varenna, was the most memorable of them all. First of all, the staff is truly helpful and kind and is always willing to walk an extra mile to help and guide visitors, day and night. Secondly, this hotel stands on the most beautiful spot of them all, allowing visitors to enjoy breathtaking views over the Como Lake and surroundings. From the hotel, you can easily see all the well-known spots of Como Lake and our most beatiful pictures were all taken from this hotel. Thirdly, the garden of the hotel is truly a gemstone and is more beautiful than any of the large and famous villa gardens that can be experienced around Como Lake. If you love Como Lake, you just got to see and walk this garden. It captivates people of all ages, my kids were just as happy and intrigued by this hotel's garden as we the adults. We stayed in one hotel in Bellagio that was much more expensive and although details and decorations might have been more expensive looking at that hotel, we enjoyed Hotel Villa Cipressi much more because it was simply a better value. Don't hesitate to book your stay at this wonderful hotel. I will be back with a larger group of family and friends to enjoy this wonderful hotel.

Beautiful botanical gardens, with a lovely and (relatively cheap compared to the area) bottle of wine. The views were amazing and would definite recommend, free appetisers brought out with the drinks and great service from the team! Will be back!

I highly recommend hosting your wedding at Villa Cipressi. We hosted our wedding of ~50 guests there in early October and it could not have gone any better. The staff (Everyone from Marco Events Manager, Nicolette from the events team, Marco catering manager and his wife Tanya, the front desk team, etc) really worked hard to make sure things went smoothly! I was VERY impressed with the level of service provided considering how popular this venue is! Thank you so much to the team at Villa Cipressi for being such kind and hard working professionals. I especially want to say thank you to Marco catering and also his wife Tanya as they went above and beyond to make our day special. We had many vegetarians and other dietary restrictions and the team took care to make sure things went well without problems including personally serving them and confirming all dietary restrictions with us before hand. The team went above and beyond to support our wedding and I could not recommend this hotel more to host your wedding here! It is even more beautiful and well manicured than the photos. No photos will ever do it justice! The hotel rooms are updated, clean, and nice. The hotel property is central to Varenna and has a lot of great restaurants, cafes, etc all within 5 minute walking distance.

We stayed there two nights and they had. wedding on both nights. All the grounds and amenities were completely off limits starting at 2pm each day to set up and have the wedding. Clearly they prioritize events over the hotel guests. A room right below our bedroom was used as a nightclub the first night for the wedding with deafening music. When we called to complain they said “not to worry it will be over by 11pm…”. Classy. The hotel refused to partially refund us and instead offered a dinner for two for our next visit. Hilarious. Upper management barely returned our emails. Do not book there if looking for a good experience.

La struttura è da riprendere completamente in mano, tralasciando le camere che il prezzo non è giustificato per nulla, son rimasto veramente deluso… Anche la colazione molto triste, bisognerebbe veramente riprendere in mano la situazione, oltre al fatto che è inammissibile che io entri in una camera (pagata poi sui 600) con letto matrimoniale composto da due singoli uniti e già lì non ci siamo, ma poi che ci sia anche la bottiglia d’acqua già aperta e bevuta e dopo averlo riferito la bottiglia rimane li, veramente un servizio che sarebbe giustificato pagando a notte 30 euro non di più. Ad ogni modo più di 90 euro a notte non li vale, l’unica cosa bella (a parte la villa se fosse tenuta a modo e gestita bene) il giardino botanico…

Over 5 stars for service! I would like to specially acknowledge Nipa who was so helpful and took great care of us during our stay in Varenna. I was sick and she worked with my wife to arrange an appointment with a doctor nearby. She walked with us to the clinic and helped to provide translation for me at the doctor. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels before. Never have I ever seen someone go above and beyond to care for us. The management should be proud to have her be a part of their team. Also I would like to acknowledge Euness who was very helpful in taking care of us when the air conditioning had stopped working. Luca, Lavianna, and Nicolette at the front desk were also very kind and helpful. We had a memorable stay here at Hotel Villa Cipressi because of the stellar service we received. I will definitely recommend this hotel.
