L’Agriturismo La Razza è una struttura davvero molto bella immersa nel bel verde della prima campagna reggiana, non lontano dalla città. Il panorama che si gode è appagante e rilassante, così come il tipo di ospitalità proposta. Si può scegliere se alloggiare in un vecchio casale con camere moderne oppure in uno con camere rustiche. Si viene subito informati su come sfruttare al meglio le attività della grande tenuta e della sua bella zona piscina. Le camere (io ho scelto quelle moderne) sono molto ampie, ben attrezzate e confortevoli, la sala colazione affaccia sul verde, insomma tutto è piacevole, compresa l’estrema vicinanza con un ristorante unico, la Grattugia, che si trova a fianco della piscina. La Razza fa parte del circuito Associazione Italiana Celiachia, dunque mi aspettavo una sontuosa colazione senza glutine. E qui esprimo l’unica critica: ho trovato solo prodotti confezionati di qualità non eccelsa, ed un personale di sala non esattamente preparato in materia. Ma sono certa che ci lavoreranno su.

Had a one night stay here on business. On-site parking was availabe with plenty of spaces for the capacity of the hotel. Check-in was OK, had a short wait as there was only one member of staff checking people in and it was just after the working day so there was a number of people queing when I arrived. All hotel features/ammenities were explained during the check in process. Room was a standard Holiday Inn room with a large bed, small working area and large bathroom. I'm unsure if it was just my room or if all rooms had disabled access/support facilities around the room (such as low handrails etc). One issue was there was a single light in the bathroom that wouldn't turn off - unsure if this is a safety feature but with the door being part glass, it meant there was always an element of light in the room, even when trying to sleep. The walls/door also didn't offer very good soundproofing so I could hear everything going on in the corridor and surrounding rooms which meant that I didn't have a great nights sleep. The Wi-Fi was suitable for streaming, however I didn't test any business features but I would assume it would work well enough for those too. Overall an OK stay for one night - however I would have likely looked to move if I was in the area longer due to the lack of sound-proofing.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights in mid-September. It is seven storeys high with 107 rooms but copes adequately. We arrived in Reggio-Emilia by train and took a taxi from the central station. The walk to the hotel with luggage would be difficult. Taxis have fixed fares even if arriving at the AV Station which is much further out of town. There is open and undercover parking some of which is free. It is situated on the edge of town and to reach the city centre is no more than a 10 minute stroll. Access for guests with mobilty issues is no problem. Reception is a generous space with three distinct public soft seating areas, however the reception acts as a foyer to the meeting rooms and therefore there is traffic through the space. It is however, very comfortable. If - in certain aspects - having an old fashioned feel. The bar and breakfast room are accessed from reception. The restaurant, which we did not use, is at the far end of reception from the regular entry point but does have a street entry for non guests. The breakfast room was pleasant and breakfast was the usual continental fare with some hot options and a fabulous toaster! The bar was OK, but not particularly large. Bar snacks were available and were both good value and a good size. All staff were helpful and most had good English. Our room was on the fourth floor and was generously sized with a small balcony overlooking the park. Housekeeping was proficient and we experienced very little noise from within the hotel. There was some noise from outside the hotel but very little given that one side of the hotel is adjacent to a fairly busy road. We did however have problems understanding and enabling the aircon. It did work, but more by luck than our understanding! The bathroom was four piece with a large walk-in shower. The shower tray was not non-slip and the delivery temperature of the water was hard to control. Everything was clean and toiletries were adequate - nothing exceptional. All-in-all the hotel provided a good location, good value for money and a comfortable stay.
