friendly welcome..fella on reception extremely polite and helpful..cleaning ladies are very approachable and friendly...bar staff are lovely... room exactly as required...clean ..well presented and has all I need for self catering holiday...lidl is a 10 minute walk away handy for all your needs.. there is a supermarket on the premises for those quick bits on arrival... veranda to the road ..it's busy....plus it gets the sun all day long ..pool just outside the hall door too... there is that pesky hill to tackle when going to the beach but hey thinking of the workout I'm getting and (need) from it ... would definitely be sober by the time you'd get back to your room ... good experience so far...

Great value for money with clean functional rooms. Fairy good sleep quality with good curtains that keep out the light. You do experience the usual noise of people moving furniture 24/7. Great amount of sun loungers and availability every day. Very good supermarket on site. Be aware though this place is FULL of serious chain smokers so you cannot enter reception or bar area and supermarket from room/pool side without walking through the smoke and stink. Smoking at the pool while trying to disguise it and on balconies is common. You certainly cannot eat or drink on the terrace outside the bar if you are a non smoker. Hotel promotes smoking as it retails them in a prominent bar area

Everything perfect except for the cost (& state) of the WiFi. The WiFi was VERY poor & at €25 for the week, you’d expect it to be better. Room - couldn’t fault it, food - couldn’t fault it…. The staff are amazing, every aspect, bar, pool, reception. Hotel room cleaned every other day. If I had to gripe about anything, it would be the WiFi & the fact that a couple of people were robbed whilst we were there, so security probably could be better. Great location, only one big hill to navigate & if I can cope with it, most can. Overall, great 2 week stay, thank you

This is a lovely friendly holiday complex with lovely amenities. The complex is lovely and clean with a lovely pool with great facilities..The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us .We couldn’t really fault this complex and would highly recommend this accommodation for a lovely holiday.

This is our fourth visit to Bitacora sadly are last the place has lost its relaxing vibe Sunbeds remain a huge problem . Food and drink has become well over priced now Bingo on reminded me of being in Blackpool Cabaret on also was poor The bar has been refurbished it’s nice but shame food isn’t anymore Cold most mornings at breakfast Over priced The Supermarket on site has become really expensive now Sad to say after all the years coming to Bitacora it’s had its day now with us Shame because was such a lovely place

Stayed at Bitacora in August 2024 with my wife and daughter. First of all I must say the Bitacora is NOT on cardiac hill ! Yes it's located up the hill but incline isn't that bad when you get used to it and we found 3 or 4 different ways back to hotel. We had emailed ahead requesting an upper floor room as with us being 2 able bodied adults and a 15yr old we have no bother up and down stairs, but on arrival we were informed this wasn't possible , ok no problem. The room we were given was downstairs, clean and large enough for us but no privacy as veranda wide open to guests, no sun on veranda and a view of the pool , in fact rooms 104 to 120 have no sun at all and over the course of our stay we noticed ALL the 1st floor rooms were occupied by either young families who had to try and carry pushchairs,inflatables etc or elderly who struggled with the stairs. Now onto the sunbed wars , yes wars ! You have to queue from 8.30am for the pool to open anytime from 9am to 9.45am depending on the mood of the pool cleaner. My wife queued one morning and had to run and use the towels as Frisbees to get 3 sunbeds ! She said she never felt so embarrassed in her life , needless to say we only used pool twice in 10 days and went to beach instead. As usual sunbeds had towels on them all day and weren't used definitely needs policing. We brought this up with the gentleman on reception who informed us "it happens everywhere " no sir it doesn't. Been to PDC twice before and many other resorts on Europe over 20 years and never been as bad as here . May return to Bitacora at a quieter time of tear but definitely not in July/August there simply isn't enough sunbeds , we counted around 90 beds to over 100 rooms .

Your wife's experience is certainly not the atmosphere we strive to create. We will revisit our poolside policies and work on improving how sunbeds are managed to ensure fairness and prevent towels from being left on unused beds all day. We agree this issue needs more active monitoring. It's disheartening to hear that your concerns were not adequately addressed at reception, and we sincerely apologize for this. We do hope you’ll consider giving Bitacora another chance during a quieter time of year, as we would love to provide you with the relaxing experience you were seeking. Lugar tranquilo, a un paseíto de la playa y de la zona concurrida. El apartamento estaba bastante bien, y lo que pudiera mejorarse se le comentaba al personal e inmediatamente lo corregían. Un 10 para el personal de habitaciones y para la recepción. Gracias por ponerlo fácil.

En primer lugar, tengo que decir que los empleados(camareros,personal de limpieza, recepción, etc) tienen mi máximo respeto y son excelentes profesionales. Y ahora viene la parte negativa ,por la cual ni repetiremos ni se lo aconsejamos a nadie. No puede ser que no exista un servicio de vigilancia y seguridad nocturna . Es una auténtico caos,hay unas normas de silencio a partir de las 12 y no se respetan y lo que es peor nos e hacen respetar por parte de la dirección. No es admisible que a las 2 de la madrugada estén personas gritando,metiendo ruido e incluso jugando al billar,molestando a las personas que queremos descansar y dormir a gusto. Señores de la dirección, tomen nota. Y otra cosa,las hamacas no se reservan y a las 9 de la mañana está la mayoría ocupada solo con toallas....Señores,así, NO.

Apartamentos bien equipados y muy bien ubicados. Algunos poseen baños y/o cocina reformadas. Con A/C en habitación. Terrazas con tendedero y mesas con sillas reclinables. Cuentan con menaje necesario para la estancia. Personal amable y volcado en su trabajo. Es la segunda vez que nos alojamos y no dudaremos en repetir.

Piscina perfecta, muy bonito todo el conjunto del hotel. Recepción muy amables. Un poco de ruido por la tarde-noche. El apartamento correcto, solo había aire en la habitación, calor en la parte del comedor y sofá. Tema cocina, no había ninguna sartén!!!, muy poco equipada. Muy buena ubicación. Buena estancia.

todo perfecto, el personal muy amable y el apartamento muy nuevo y limpio!!!!! eran cuatro días muy agradables. La única pega que le pondría es que tienes que andar un poquito para llegar a la playa, pero nada exagerado

Great hotel, staff very friendly and helpfull if you book trips via the hotel they will pay for your transfers, Not alot for kids to do just 2 pools but 5 mins from main *****

Quite a good hotel, room was very spacious and clean, bed was comfy, nothing bad about the room. The hotel itself was very nice, pleasant place, cleaner came, good equipment, fresh towels, staff are very kind and helpful, the drinks form the bar are quite nice. The only bad things about this hotel is that the breakfast was cold, and so was the pool. Overall pleasant experience

Had a lovely stay here in August. Reception was a pleasant experience when booking in. Pool was a good size and with the smaller pool for kiddies. Pool bar was a haven in the hot afternoons with the air con. Cocktails were amazing plus Gayle who found all the sports channels for the football plus her knowledge of the island was tremendous helped us get about on public transport. Her cocktails were also the best without a doubt. Heard about the sunbed wars. It wasn’t a thing for us, always managed to get a bed and relax by the pool with a cocktail. Rooms were decent and cleaned to the highest standard ñ. Nothing was too much. WiFi is free and good. Would I return……most definitely!!
