Where to begin with this review? Our eagerly anticipated trip in late August was overshadowed by the approaching Tropical storm Lee. Concerned, we contacted the property for advice on precautions, but instead of assistance, they repeatedly hung up on us, likely due to language barriers. Despite the uncertainty, we pressed on, equipped with raincoats and essentials. Upon arrival, we faced a four-hour wait for our room, a two-bedroom Garden Master Suite Swim-Up, which turned out to be two separate suites with connecting doors, not the advertised true two-bedroom suite. The room's uncomfortable furniture, broken kitchen faucet, and damaged drawer handles were disappointments. Dining was equally frustrating. Despite booking a Garden Suite with the promise of dining flexibility at Falcon Suites Resort or the Garden, we couldn't make reservations on the first day, faced restrictions on the second day, and were abruptly denied access to the Falcon Resort buffet on our last day. The butler service was non-existent. Our butler, Frank, mistakenly booked a restaurant that was closed on Mondays, leaving us hungry and frustrated. The beach was unswimmable, and the overall service, particularly for non-Spanish speakers, left much to be desired. It felt like our money didn't matter, and our expectations for a higher level of service were unmet during our week-long stay. We won't return or recommend this place.

A mis hijos les encantó el hotel, todo muy limpio y hermoso, visitamos el restaurante Gabi Club y la atención fue increíble principalmente el señor Domingo Perdomo su atención fue de otro nivel muchas gracias

We were changed three (3) times from our room. As per our request. Due to poor maintenance of the rooms. I traveled with a 9 year old and an 18 month old. The rooms were not properly cleaned or taken care of. Also when we initially arrived we were told we can eat at any restaurant at Garden Suite or the Falcon Resort. 2 days in they claimed they changed the rules and it’s no longer allowed and we were treated like outsiders. We asked to speak to a supervisor at the resort and they gave us the run around and told me they would contact me and to this day not 1 supervisor has contacted me. I want to request a refund and i feel that’s why i was ignored. I wasn’t the only guest with the same complaints.

I don’t know why anyone would give this place 5-star rating. It’s misleading. I feel like I wasted my money coming here. Rooms need an update, restaurants need more choices and better cooked food. All breads and cereal at the buffet was stale. Food at the restaurants was not good, steak was tough to chew, noodles over cooked, and they upcharge you on certain menu items which is not right because it’s “all-inclusive”. Management changing rules at the last minute about Garden Suites guests not being allowed to eat at the Falcon’s buffet and not notifying the guests of said changes, very disappointing showing up with your kids to eat breakfast at the Origine because you were told upon your arrival that you are able to do so, only to be sent away because “the bosses made up a new rule”. Thanks for informing us. So embarrassing and so frustrating every day that we were here. Will never come back to visit Melia resorts ever again. Don’t waste your money.

The resort Garden suite by Melia at Punta Cana appeared somewhat outdated, requiring room renovations. The standout feature was the spaciousness of the rooms. The Garden suite and Falcons buffet were average in quality, while the restaurants stood out positively. During our stay in the Garden suite, we found ourselves walking to Falcon (15min walk) due to its slightly superior buffet. The pool and children's area were enjoyable, especially the Blast park which my kids loved. Unfortunately, the beach was marred by excessive sea**** during our visit, limiting swimming opportunities. Overall, I'd rate it 3/5.

El hotel tienes muy buenas condiciones ,las habitaciones son amplias y tienen buen confort , la comida súper buena y el personal en general brinda muy buen servicio , deberían tener en cuenta el horario de la piscina porque cierra muy pronto cuando aún hay sol y se puede difrutar , si buscas un hotel tranquilo súper recomendado porque después de las 10 pm no hay ninguna acituvidad y el bar cierra ,lo recomendaría nos encanto , además puedes visitar los hoteles Meliá q quedan a su alrededor , la playa un poco lejos y el transporte para ir muy malo demora mucho si deseas visitarlo debes tenerlo en cuenta

Well I stay at the property for five days with my family , food was not good , non quality, servers always with a bad face to serve you , I felt really bad bacause I went there to have a good time And non of us were happy , Meliá used to be one one the best resorts when it comes to food and drink ,, right now not even close to what it used to be .

El lugar es muy tranquilo y agradable, si lo que buscas es relajarte, el lugar es perfecto. El personal es excelente todos muy atentos muy serviciales, creo que eso fue lo que más cómoda me hizo sentir. Todo muy limpio, la habitación las personas de servicio la mantienen muy limpia todos los días. La habitación espaciosa y con un porche muy cómodo. Lo único que no me gusto fue que demoraron un poco en darme la habitación después del checking, por lo demás estuvo magnífico!!!

Room not like the pictures. Older property at garden suites. Call many times to get in touch with room service. Towels often took 2 hours to come even with a baby in tow. Room service food terrible, buffet and restaurants much better but open late for a baby schedule. Don’t get signed up for their sales pitch wasted 3 hours of our morning. Otherwise was nice to have a swim up pool, some features (jets and tiles broken). Falcon is a much newer property with functioning fountains. Seems they let garden suites go a little in terms of maintenance. Overall had a good time but wasn’t aware I had to take two golf cart shuttles to the beach. Could’ve been much better.
