I went with my two good friends on our yearly girls trip, and then my mom arrived for her bday. We all loved how beautiful and calm the beach was and all the amenities but we thought the food and drink was not on par with other Secrets or All inclusive hotels we have stayed in. I have stayed at Secrets the Vine Cancun 3 times, Hyatt Zilara Punta Cana, and Hard Rock Los Cabos. Also thought that during the day the pool area was vary boring except during the activities (water aerobics, volleyball, zumba) but it would be cool to have a DJ or louder more fun music playing. It was also very hard to find shade at the pool and the beach, wish there were more chairs with umbrellas. The night entertainment was great at Desires and at the lobby especially the Dj and bands that played more upbeat dancing music, and Black Coffee got everyone to dance and was such a great vibe, we love him. Our concierge/butler - Osvaldy Guerrero Cedano is a true Gem, the best concierge/butler I've ever had. He was super responsive and helped us out at all times. It was my mom's bday and he had the room decorated with cake and Champagne and she loved it. He totally made her day more special. Ultimately I thought that this Secrets was more for couples where most Adults only resorts are a bit more fun and have more of a variety of people of all ages, for example girls trip, bachelorette, bachelor, wedding party. it seemed way more focused for couples and we all felt a bit out of a place. Lastly our room smelled like mold, I wish we had complained and had it changed it because on the last day our Concierge/Butler allowed us to checkout late and then enjoy the resort and use a room just to shower before leaving for our late flight. The room that we used the shower in was the same size but no smell of mold. The service was amazing though, all employees were super nice, kind, helpful and smily they made the atmosphere so great! Not Luxury – Disappointing Stay Secrets Cap Cana was a huge letdown. Both rooms we were given had an overpowering mold smell, and it took over two hours the next morning for Kerlin at the front desk to get us a room that was tolerable—though his service was unhelpful throughout. Cleanliness was lacking (hair in sink, wrong pillows, no disinfecting wipes). The only bright spot was Felix, who was amazing during booking and went above and beyond. For true luxury, skip this place and go to Sanctuary Cap Cana instead.

You won’t be able to enjoy the beach due to the overwhelming odor coming from the water. Although they clean the seaweed daily, it only makes the smell worse. The stench reaches rooms and hallways. The beach water is murky and uninviting—you swim at your own risk. The overall beach appearance is nowhere near what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. I’ve had better beach experiences at lower-rated hotels. There are very limited pool chairs, and the pool is small for the size of the resort. Guests are forced to reserve chairs early by placing towels on them before breakfast. This was especially frustrating—you come to the Caribbean expecting to enjoy the beach, but can’t, and then you can’t even get a pool chair. I felt scammed. Almost all staff speak only Spanish, making communication very difficult. Many were rude, untrained, and seemed unhappy. Edly (reception) and Jourdain (concierge) were not just unhelpful but arrogant. They mocked guests in Spanish, assuming no one else understood. If you're assigned Jourdain, I recommend asking for someone else. Few activities were offered. A staff member named Mini rudely summoned me during a pool bike class and told me to sign up. I did, but he gave away my spot. Meanwhile, white guests were allowed to continue without issue. We requested a birthday room setup, but the concierge ruined the surprise by texting a photo to the birthday girl before she entered the room. Don’t rely on them for anything special.

The staff genuinely made me feel like royalty with their warm, friendly demeanor and attentive service. My room was immaculate, showcasing a level of cleanliness that exceeded my expectations. The bed sheets and towels were of exceptional quality, adding a touch of luxury to my stay. Despite the beach shore being cluttered with sargassum, the beach lounge area offered a serene and inviting ambiance, providing a comforting escape where I could relax and enjoy the surroundings. The food options available were satisfying, though I found myself wishing the buffet restaurant had longer hours to indulge in more of the delectable offerings. Overall, my stay was a delightful blend of comfort and service.

Primera vez visitando a Punta y Cana con unos amigos y hospedando en el Resort, y a todos nos parecio excelente con muy buena atencion, buena variedad de comida, actividades y ambiente ameno. Definitivamente se los recomiendo a amigos y familiares.
