Wij verbleven onlangs in Hotel Quarteirasol in Faro, Portugal en onze algehele ervaring was gemengd. De locatie van het hotel was zeker een pluspunt, omdat het dicht bij het strand lag en er verschillende restaurantjes en een supermarkt in de buurt waren. Het ontbijt was redelijk en er was een goede variatie aan gerechten om uit te kiezen. Het personeel bij de receptie was niet altijd even vriendelijk als we hadden gehoopt, hoewel sommige medewerkers vriendelijk waren, waren anderen een beetje kortaf en leken ze niet geïnteresseerd in het beantwoorden van vragen. Ook was het niet mogelijk om eerder dan 15:00 uur in te checken, zelfs als de kamer al gereed was. De kamer zelf was vrij basic, maar had enkele pluspunten. Zo had de douche een goede harde straal, wat zeker een pluspunt was. Ook was het matras van het bed comfortabel en zorgde voor een goede nachtrust, de kussens waren helaas wat minder comfortabel. We hebben geen last gehad van geluidsoverlast, wat ook een pluspunt was. Ook was er een tv met smart cast beschikbaar. De kamer was schoon, maar er was niets bijzonders aan de inrichting of meubilair. Al met al zouden we Hotel Quarteirasol aanbevelen als u op zoek bent naar een betaalbaar hotel in de buurt van het strand en restaurants. Houd er echter wel rekening mee dat de kamer vrij basic is en dat het personeel bij de receptie niet altijd even vriendelijk is.

For a 3 star hotel this is excellent. We had to check out of our villa at 10am - but with a late evening flight home we needed somewhere to dump our cases and enjoy a pool somewhere for the day. We booked this (had to phone due to strange check in/out that we needed) we booked the room from 10am-7pm , obviously we had to be charged for the full day (80 euros) what a bargain! We weren't expecting much but we are pleasantly surprised (writing this sat by the peaceful pool ). Room is large and very clean - can't vouch for.comfort of bed as we won't be sleeping in them). This would make a great, value for money, base and you wouldn't be disappointed with pool and bar - we were feeling a bit deflated coming from a beautiful villa with private pool to a small hotel - but we love it! Staff are very helpful and friendly. If your looking for a good value hotel - this is it!

The service at this hotel is fantastic. Animators, reception staff, restaurant staff, bar staff and cleaning service are smiling, friendly, helpful and caring people. The animation guy always greeted us nicely (also in Polish), which was lovely. We thank you very much for this and send you warm regards. The waiters and waitresses also always greeted us friendly and asked if we were okay. You can see that the hotel employees are very nice. That's why we felt at home there. We spent a wonderful 2 weeks and we already miss it, even though we just got back. The hotel is located in a beautiful, romantic area, right next to the Atlantic Ocean. We highly recommend staying here. Portugal is a wonderful country with wonderful people. Thank you for everything, we send greetings from Poland and wish you all the best!

Before heading out to Portugal I was in regular contact with the hotel and they we're very prompt and helpful with my queries. They also organised transport from the airport which was €45 for the two of us, however, on the return journey, it was €55 as it was before 8am - something we were not advised if up front. (We later learned that you could organise an Uber or transport direct from the airport for around €25-€30, so it pays to do more research beforehand). Arrived at the hotel to be greeted by lovely, courteous staff and was told we had been given a room upgrade (we had booked a 2 bed apartment with balcony and this was upgraded to one of their 2 bed terraced apartments) - WOW! I shed a tear when we found the terrace!  The hotel also accommodated our request to be away from nightly entertainment noise - so grateful for that! The apartment was huge, clean and was very well kitted out - full kitchen, crockery, cutlerty, cooking equipment, fridge with mini freezer, hob, microwave, kettle etc, lovely lounge/diner area and two huge bedrooms, one with ensuite, and another bathroom. The usual liquid soap, shampoo/ bodywash and  conditioner all supplied by the hotel. There are 4 USB ports in each bedroom and also a 2 x 3 pin plug sockets. The hotel is situated on a busy road, and depending on where your room is, this may be an issue. Soundproofing in the apartment itself is very good i.e. I couldn't hear my husband's snoring, but even with patio doors/windows shut, traffic and outside noise is very evident (even though they're double glazed).   I found the mattress very hard, and after chasing Reception twice, a soft mattress topper was provided, which helped a lot. I had an issue with a loose toilet seat and this was promptly sorted by maintenance. Housekeeping - towels and bed linen changed every 3 days.  Bottle of water supplied every day - they will provide more if required.  We booked all inclusive and found, like a lot of previous reviews, the food to be disappointing.  It was lukewarm and sometimes very dried out.  There wasn't a huge selection of salads, desserts or mains (2 different meats, 2 fish, rice, a pasta dish, some potatoes, kids section with fish fingers, nuggets, chips etc and a vegan section with 4 dishes) and as a last resort, you could have pizza if nothing took your fancy, which happened on several occasions. Soups were mostly fish or bean/barley based but there was a nice tomato and a carrot/pumpkin soup which was nice. Desserts were never named, and a lot of the cakes contained nuts so for those with allergens, I would recommend you ask the kitchen staff as to what's in the desserts before you tuck in. There was always fresh fruit and cheese and biscuits too (again, this never varied). There was a small selection of bread and rolls, which remained the same choice throughout breakfast, lunch and dinner. Spent 7 days here and was happy to leave to be honest. We had high hopes having arrived from the Hilton Vilamoura where we had 5 lovely days in a hotel where the staff and general atmosphere was/were a perfect complement to the fine facilities. More about that in a separate review. On arrival at Ria Park, we encountered three staff behind the counter chatting among themselves. We were the only ones waiting to be checked in. The three staff continued to chat before one of them turned to see us without acknowledgment and then turned back to the other two with a gesture as though it was someone else’s turn to check us in. Eventually one came to the counter and without greeting or even looking at us just said ‘Passports?’ Everything was quite efficient but oddly cold to say the least. When we got to the room, it was a twin. We had booked a double. So went back downstairs and said we’d like a double as that was what we had booked. The staff member said that we had booked a twin and the all their rooms were twins. After I produced evidence of our booking of a double they then turned to a colleague to consult and then turned back to say again that “all our rooms are the same”. There was another conversation behind the counter and the staff member returned to say ‘Ok, we will get housekeeping to make the bed up as one’. This turned out to be a perfectly adequate solution which left us thinking as to why this had not been suggested three minutes earlier. There was no apology. The opposite in fact. We were subjected to near eye- rolling, unveiled and obvious disdain. The seven days turned out to be fine. Pool area was ok. Bed very comfortable. Facilities and room dated but fine. Small TV screen. Breakfast quite good but the breakfast room staff, with the exception of the always pleasant and helpful Marta, looked a bit listless. Checkout was clinical as the whole week had been. No inquiry as to whether we had enjoyed our stay. Nothing. An unsmiling parting. At best, this is hotel with mostly four star facilities and an efficient if box-ticking service.

酒店距離盧勒市中心僅幾步之遙。這是一個不錯的,乾淨的酒店,裝飾可愛,工作人員友好。我們的房間很大,乾淨舒適。早餐有各種各樣的選擇,很好吃。唯一的真正的缺點是我們房間的景色不鼓舞人心。總的來說,我一定會再次入住,並會推薦它。

We had a decent holiday but our accommodation could not be described as 4 star.We were allocated 036 supposedly a superior apartment, we requested overlooking the pool and away from the road but that didn't happen.The apartment must be privately owned and rented out as most of the storage cupboards were locked.The apartment was in poor condition, door handles coming off,smoke alarm broken off,no cushions very basic and spartan.Wi fi non existant. Cleaning didn't happen every two days as stated in the info leaflet. We have been to Clube Albufeira several times but the service has deteriorated. No shuttle bus,no help with luggage and it is very hilly,not very user friendly. We have had some good holidays here but we won't be going again.aIts a shame .
