It was great to be back at this lovely hotel again. We stay once a year when we come down for Royal Ascot. It is the perfect base as we travel to the meeting by train from Reading. Just a ten minute taxi ride to the station. The hotel is very quiet, spotlessly clean, has a beautiful garden and is very well run. The breakfasts are excellent with a good choice . . . having the 'Full English' is a great way to start the day! We would highly recommend this hotel without hesitation. 5*

Nice hotel away from the center but near enough to get there either by bus or taxi. Free parking a bonus. Nice personal welcome and shown 3 rooms to choose from. You don't find that in many hotels. Old building is lovely and a nice garden too

Extremely well run small hotel. I experienced a friendly and efficient check-in and my ground floor room was spacious, quiet and immaculately clean. For convenience I decided to opt for the breakfast which was very nicely cooked - bacon, egg, sausage, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms & toast. The cereals and fruit (some tinned, some fresh) were a nice start. The coffee was nice and there was no issue when I asked for a second cafetière. The breakfast room is very nicely set up. Value wise, I thought the room was excellent value and the breakfast was a bit expensive, but overall it was great value. My meetings were the other side of Reading so the traffic was a bit hectic as there were roadworks, so just be mindful of that… Opposite the Beech House is a Beefeater which is perfect for a cheap meal in the evening. I would definitely stay again

We stayed one night in a quirky little room (No 10), long and thin with the Fire Escape door at the end. Very clean, equipped with tea and coffee etc, spacious bathroom, quiet room over looking a lovely garden. We did need the fan supplied (Thank you) even with the windows open it was warm. Staff were very friendly and helpful, a 10 min taxi drive to the station with regular buses running into town just outside. Our room price didn't include breakfast which we didn't have as the price tag of £30 seemed a bit steep! Comfortable stay.

It was Royal Ascot week and so that meant we headed down to Reading for our annual stay at this lovely hotel. We find it to be the perfect base if going to RA as the station is just a ten minute taxi ride away. We have stayed at Beech House a number of times and each time we have received a lovely welcome. The room we had this year (9) was spacious and clean with the comfiest bed I think we have ever slept in! The breakfast menu is traditional and varied....the sausages are superb! We really love this hotel, its cosy, friendly and perfectly positioned for our needs. Once again it is a 5* rating from us.!
