We stayed here while in between moving house, the hotel staff are super nice! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable! We were super stoked that the aircon was freezing as it was boiling outside. Didn’t use the gym or pool but lots did and seemed to enjoy it from what we could see. Would stay again

Very great experience and staff. Room was equally okay, one of the newly renovated ones though there were stains in the toilet bowl in which the room attendant took care of. They also provided amenities needed to make our stay enjoyable.

We stayed as a stop over on our way to Banff, and although the pics looked good, the place was visibly run down on arrival. The check in was great, Dayton at the front desk was very kind and polite. The pool area was dark and dingy. There were about 25 kids aged around 8-9 years old screaming and tearing the place up with no parental supervision. Rooms are small, beds uncomfortable, ice machine was broken, coffee in the lobby was like tar, and we noticed that there are no fire extinguishers on any floor either. Spend a little extra and stay elsewhere. Literally have nothing good to say about this stay except that the customer service on check in was great.

No breakfast. Pool and hot tub down for renovations. Staff was fantastic. Our original room, the door didn’t shut so the staff upgraded us to a new room no charge.

I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding our recent two-night stay at the Sandman Hotel in Red Deer, Alberta. Upon arrival, we were initially assigned a room with visibly stained bedding and urine on the toilet seat. This was unacceptable and immediately reported. While we were disappointed, we do appreciate that staff promptly moved us to another room. The second room was cleaner; however, the refrigerator was not functioning. Staff were again helpful and provided a working fridge so that we could safely store food and medications. Additionally, we were informed upon arrival that the pool and hot tub were closed. These amenities were the primary reason we chose to book this hotel, and this closure was not clearly communicated at the time of booking. Although the staff were professional, courteous, and accommodating throughout our stay, the overall condition of the room and the lack of access to advertised amenities significantly affected our experience. Due to these issues, we will not be returning. Given the circumstances, I am requesting appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and discomfort experienced during our stay. I would also appreciate a response outlining how this matter will be addressed.

This was an excellent place to stay! Their Internet doesn’t work very well which is a bit annoying. But everything else is top notch

Ice and snow removal by entrances none existence extremely dangerous walking on the ice to get to one of the doors very poor

Bath tub tap in our room was coming away from the wall and had lots of calcium buildup that has not been cleaned off for a while. Was scared to use the shower

It was a great stay. The front desk was great and very friendly and helpful. I’m not sure but on the 25th of December this guy behind the desk was great!!
