Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk was pleasant and allowed us to check in early. We rented a 1 king bed suite...when we got into the room it was very clean. Had a full fridge, stove,oven, microwave and dishwasher. Couch and bed was comfortable...pillows were fantastic. For someone with neck issues, it was nice to have full neck support. Our suite was the handicap suite (204) which we didn't need but it was nice to see the higher level of service for those that don't move around so easily. Breakfast was the standard continental type, but they did make eggs without that nasty swine which most hotels usually mix into the eggs making them inedible for us as Hebrews. The only thing I could find that needs to be improved on is their cheese grater in the room it functioned like a dollar store item, it's a good thing I brought my own from home as I knew I was going to need a really good grater for the horseradish for Passover.

If everyone working at every Marriott was DEV0N from this Marriott, the world would be a better place and travel would be fun again! You get fancy huge hotel treatment at this quaint, perfect spot. Devon’s smile and dinner suggestions A+!!!

I chose this hotel as a halfway point in our road trip from Seattle to Phoenix, mainly because of the good reviews and the fact it had a microwave and fridge. So, here's my review after staying here for one night. The hotel was easy to find and is located in a industrial park area, next to a Hampton Inn. Not a very scenic location, but it appeared to be safe if you need to walk your dog around the property. I didn't see any restaurants within walking distance, but there are certainly many within a 1 mile radius (we ate dinner at the Olive Garden which was a short distance up the road). I had booked a single room with 2 queen beds using my Marriott points, and the desk clerk offered to upgrade me at no cost to a larger 2 bedroom suite with king size beds. That gave us more room which we appreciated. The hotel and room both were very clean and looked fairly new, with everything working as expected. Each of the bedrooms and living area had a wall mounted airconditioner/heater unit which wasn't too noisy. The bathroom was large and clean. Complimentary breakfast was served in the lobby from 5 am to 9:30 am. The complimentary WiFi had download and upload speeds of 15 Mbps. For negatives, the bedrooms only had a few outlets available, so bring a power ***** if you have a lot of electronic devices to charge up.  I could hear cars driving on the nearby highway, but it seemed to lessen in the late evening & early morning. The beds were super firm, so much so it hurt my back and made it difficult for me to get a good night sleep. Finally, the bathtub drain was clogged and it filled up with water while I was taking a shower. Would I stay here again? I'm not sure, as I didn't get much restful sleep with the hard beds. I'm actually going to try a different Marriott location or Hilton hotel for the trip back to Seattle.

Lodging was good, glad they had the two-bedroom option. Breakfast was okay, mostly grab-and-go items. What was not good was putting in a housekeeping request both through the front desk and the housekeepers next door only to return to the room untouched. Having two small children, that was not good as our trash accumulated and sat throughout our stay. I wish the staff would have been more attentive to this. Otherwise, the stay was okay.

The folks at the front desk (Gary and Devon) here are the most patient and helpful souls! Sadly, we seemed to have TV streaming issues every night of our stay and they tried so incredibly hard to help, even late at night, being very generous trying to help make up for our struggles. The TVs were significantly smaller than normal Marriott size. Breakfast for two of our mornings was a little smaller as well, but the last two mornings we had a different person setting it up, and then there was fresh fruit and breakfast sandwiches, so I guess it just depends on who’s working. The rooms were clean, but housekeeping didn’t come by, even though they said every other day was the norm. The rooms were incredibly nicely laid out with lots of kitchen space.

The hotel is located in a convenient and safe location near a lot of restaurants and shops; good breakfast choices, full kitchen is a big help for family with small kids to prepare our own meal. However, our room’s toilet was not working properly that could not flush even a piece of tissue paper. The Guest Service offered an adjacent room for us to use the bathroom, and offered a discount. It was inconvenient, but not a big deal for a one night stay only.

The rooms are extremely small. The hideaway couches are awful. You can feel all the springs and bars. When they couch is open it goes up against the bed to point you have to crawl across the bed to use the restroom. The blankets were covered in hair. Just gross.

The young lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Anytime we were down there she went over and above what was necessary. The room is one of the nicest and best equipped of any I have been in.

We stayed in TownePlace Suits hotels a couple of times. It was our first time in Redding. The hotel itself is very modern and updated, but the location is not very inspiring. it is in the middle light industrial zone even though other hotels are near by. Good thing is that a couple of good restaurants are just a short walk. We stayed there for one night on our way to Oregon so it worked well. The breakfast is better than average with some hot food. Highly recommended for business travel.
