Best location, good breakfast, big beds

Dilapidated hotel ,loveholidays booked this hotel for me and my partner,the room was infested with damp our clothes absolutely stunk fom being in tge wardrobe. Exposed electrical cables hanging out of draw by bed.Told manager and he did nothing,told loveholidays and they didn't do anything whilst staying there. When we got back after like 15 emails and photos proving the state of the hazards we incurred in our room tgey finally offered 25% back for the dilapidated hotel costs. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE BOOK WITH LOVEHOLIDAYS . BOYCOTT AT ALL COSTS

Been to Crete now 4 times and this has been the worst hotel so far. Never been to a hotel that looks good from outside but is a shed from the inside. Worst was the bathroom. Beds squeek so hard that they wake you up when changing sleeping positions. Breakfast was fine

This is already my fourth stay at this hotel, and once again, everything has been perfect. A heartfelt thank you to the hotel staff for always considering my preferences and making sure I feel welcome. As a returning guest, I truly appreciate the extra attention when it comes to room selection. Looking forward to coming back very soon! 🇬🇷❤️

As soon as we walked into the hotel we felt we had made a mistake after the receptionist seemed shocked that we'd booked to stay for two weeks. After waiting for about 5 minutes for the lift to reach our floor we made it to our room. The first thing of note was the ceiling as soon as you walk into the room was on the verge of collapse. Several pieces of toilet paper were also seen stuck in the cracks of the ceiling. The balcony pictured on the hotel website made it seem as if you could happily dine on it. We were greeted with dirty plastic chairs and a table. It took the hotel almost a week to give us a shower mat so we were using hand towels for several days. The poorly fitted shower curtain would block the drain and allow water to pass through the sides, leaving the room flooded every time the shower was used. One of the main selling points when we booked the hotel was the rooftop bar. As soon as we walked in there was signs plastered around saying it was temporarily closed. We asked the hotel staff why it was closed and when it would reopen, their response was: "I don't why, it's the owner's decision." The fact it was closed was not stated on their website when we booked. The location is one of the redeeming factors of the hotel being a short walk away from the beach, shops, and the Old Town.

Hotel staff are friendly. Food is delicious and I can't wait to come again! The hotel is also 5 minutes from the beach. The only thing that I can comply is on the loud street noice that comes from the outside, late at night and on earling morning hours.

Moin, von Außen sah das Hotel modern aus (3Sterne). Das Zimmer hat jedoch kein Stern verdient. Ich hatte das Zimmer 107 direkt über den Eingang (Die Zimmer in den höherern Stockwerten haben einen kleinen Balkon). Durch die Hauptstraße war der Autolärm sehr störend. Die Matratzen waren zwar neu, aber extrem weich, so das ich die Matratze auf den Boden gelegt habe. In das Bad ist man kaum hineingekommen, da die Tür gegen das Waschbecken schlug. Die Dachterrasse war auch geschlossen. Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis hat nicht gestimmt. Ich werde nicht wieder kommen. Ob die Zimmer in den obereren Stockwerten besser sind, kann ich nicht sagen. Ότι χειρότερο δυστυχώς! Μόνο το προσωπικό ήταν ευγενικό στην reception , κατά τα αλλά δεν το προτείνω ποτε και σε κανέναν .. 39€ για ενα δωμάτιο που η οροφή ήταν μουχλιασμένη .. η βρύση του μπάνιου έσταζε κομμάτια αλάτων .. οι πετσέτες μύριζαν υγρασία… και βρήκα τρίχες άλλων στις πετσέτες! Δεν γίνεται ξενοδοχείο στο κέντρο του Ρεθύμνου να είσαι τόσο άθλιο , κάντε ανακαίνιση .. θα σας φέρουν κανένα υγειονομικό και τρέχετε!!!! Ούτε ενα αστέρι ….

Ik was nog geen 30 minuten binnen met mijn vriendin en ik stond alweer beneden aan de receptie. De kranen waren in zo'n 5/10 jaar niet meer vervangen en dus helemaal verkalkt en roestig. Er zat schimmel op het plafond in het gangetje naar de slaapkamer vanaf de binnenkomst. De deuren sluiten niet goed, want deze zijn niet goed ingehangen. Daarnaast vielen de kapjes van de airco regelaar en andere elektrische aansluitingen eraf. Kit randjes in de badkamer waren beschimmeld. Veel stof op kasten en in de ventilator in de badkamer. Zwembad mag je het ook niet noemen, het is namelijk een kleine poel met de groene alg op de bodem. Ik kan zo blijven doorgaan... Het komt er dus op neer dat het echt buitengewoon ranzige kamers zijn en je in een één ster jongerenherberg nog schonere sanitaire voorzieningen hebt. Als klap op de vuurpijl mochten we nog wel even kijken naar andere kamers met de schoonmaakster, om te zien of die beter waren. Dit terwijl deze kamers nog vol lagen met spullen van andere gasten die er op dat moment verbleven. Niet heel goed met privacy dus.

The location is just by the gate to the old town, so everything is nearby, but the main road is so noisy, even at night, that you can't sleep with the window open. The air-conditioning has a low of about 22 degrees. Lower than that and it doesn't turn on. I didn't find that it cooled the room a lot, but my room never got the direct sun, so it was bearable. I think it could be a lot better for the money. The balcony is tiny and has no washing line for wet clothes. The TV isn't tuned. The breakfast is ok, but the first morning I came down at about 8am and struggled to find butter, chopped fruit, yoghurt... The electricity only works in the room when you put the key in, which means that the fridge doesn't work when you are out, and as a result you can't keep anything cool. It isn't cold enough to chill a bottle of water overnight, even after I asked then to take a look at it. And the fridge itself is so small that you can't put more than one half-litre bottle of water in! The staff are unaware of their city. They raise eyebrows when you say you want to visit a site they've never heard of, they can't recommend any restaurants ("I don't eat in restaurants") or tours ("I don't know about any dance nights") and are generally not very helpful.

Σε εξαπαταει η εξωτερική εμφάνιση του ξενοδοχείου, όπου έχουν τοποθετήσει μοντέρνα μπαλκόνια αλλά το ξενοδοχείο είναι υπό κατάρευση! Τα δωμάτια αθλια, σκουριασμένες βρύσες, οι πόρτες με δυσκολία έκλειναν, χλιαρό νερό για ντουζ, το στρώμα 50 ετών τουλάχιστον και το χειρότερο είσαι στο δωμάτιο παρέα με κατσαρίδες! Ποτέ ξανά!

Chambre pas digne d'un 2 étoiles, très vétuste. Difficulté à fermer la porte fenêtre et le volet sur rue (bois gonflé)... Aucune isolation sonore et thermique, peinture sale et écaillée. Salle d'eau pas engageante (bouton chasse d'eau cassé, douche étriquée et sale), lits simples sans confort, TV murale accrochée de travers, électricité laissant à désirer (au niveau des normes), entrée avec trappe défoncée... Lorsque l'on en a parlé à la réceptionniste elle nous a confirmé que c'était normal, car c'est un des plus vieux hôtels de la ville qui n'a pas été restauré !

This is my second time to visit Creta and Rethymno. The feeling is great, beautiful nature and beaches, polite and kind local people, nice food and restaurants and many more… Hotel Brascos is great, best food, location and so kind & helpfull staff. I must distinguish girl from reception and kitchen, her name is Christina. She is so polite, kind and helpfull at any question and help that we need… She was good presenter of hotel, Rethymno city and Cretan’s culture and I think she will be good manager in the future! Best Regards for her, and all other stuff in Hotel!

Notre agence Selectour a réservé par l’intermédiaire de FRAM cet hôtel pour deux nuits et c’est la première fois que nous quittons un hôtel avant la fin du séjour C’est inacceptable de proposer des chambres en pareil état de délabrement La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas, les chambres donnent sur une rue très bruyante, les fenêtres ne sont pas insonorisées. La salle de bain d’un autre âge. La piscine vide et pas de parking à proximité contrairement à ce qui est annoncé Seul point positif le petit déjeuner correct et diversifié Je vous conseille de passer votre chemin. D’autres hôtels sont disponibles à proximité.
