里士滿市中心萬豪德爾塔酒店(Delta Hotels Richmond Downtown)

I had a great six day stay at the Delta Marriott. The location is very good, close to the downtown and the river. I had a large room with a view of the river. The staff are really great.

The food was limited and expensive for a bar snack. Ordered the hummus platter which indicated carrots and celery sticks. There was one carrot and one celery stick. the pita bread and hummus were good. The pool area deck was very wet and appeared slippery. There were no towels available to dry off after coming out of hot tub. I had to use a hand towel from the gym.

The building looked old and the room’s furniture was old as well. The AC from our room did not work and when we asked for support to the front desk it took around 2 hours and 3 calls for a member of the staff to go and check it out. I asked for an upgrade since it was my engagement weekend with my partner I asked for a better view (willing to pay if necessary) and they were not empathetic and just said, no.

My father would say this hotel is like putting lipstick on a pig. It looks great, but it is not a good place to stay. Heavily restricted A/C kept me up sweating at night, the curtains aren't wide enough to cover the windows, they charge $18 for a poor quality breakfast that would be free anywhere else - generally they employ exteme cost cutting measures anywhere and everywhere they can, while keeping their rates high. Their employees were kind, and the view on one side of the hotel is nice, but unless you like it hot when you're sleeping, and you wake every day at sunrise, I suggest finding another hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel now three different times to see shows at the ultra theater. I want to give a huge shout out to Garry! He is the nicest man and drove the shuttle bus to the theater. He was there right on time when we came out and it’s just so pleasant and friendly anytime we come to Richmond we will come back to this hotel.

It was clean and staff was friendly at all hours of the day and night. Hotel was very busy due to other large groups so elevators were very slow at certain parts of the day and the lobby extremely crowded.
