We had a wonderful stay here. When booking, the only option they had left was for a twin room. After discussing this with a member of the team, they stated they would be able to push the beds together for us. It was also our anniversary and they provided us with 2 free drinks. The spa facilities and room itself were beautiful. The only downside was that the steam room was out of order. We decided to eat at their restaurant with the hope that the food would match the quality of the overall hotel. However, the restaurant was quiet with little atmosphere, we appreciate that this can’t be helped as a lot of people most likely go elsewhere for food. But it did effect the evening slightly. We both ordered dessert, however when it arrived, it did not come with what was stated on the menu. We did question this and stated that had we been informed prior to ordering, we mostly likely wouldn’t have ordered dessert. The waitress then questioned this with the kitchen. As we had full view of the kitchen, we were able to hear the conversation had between the waitress and chefs. We got the impression that this happened frequently as the chef mentioned we don’t serve it with a clementine anymore and insinuated that the menu should be amended. Overall we had a great time, the room, facilities and staff were lovely. We were disappointed with the food, and it led us to deciding to go out for breakfast. The food was standard and we felt we paid a lot for an average dining experience.

We are pensioners and I feel this hotel is more suited to younger people. There is no lift. Staff were not very knowledgeable and disinclined to find out the information for us. I had injured my leg so was unable to walk about 2 miles to the station or down to the river so location was not good for us. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. However there was a wedding on Saturday night and the noise was horrendous. The food was good but the service was very bad on Monday and Tuesday

Overall very good only disappointment when you have paid 650 pounds for two nights was the failure to clean room. Then when brought to the attention of the reception. They said the staff have all gone home. Poor customer response to their own problem.

The stay was pleasant unfortunately this was the 2nd time and it just fell short of the last time where things were perfect. I was a little disappointed Though we havd the same standard of room the layout wasnt as spacious, as this was for a twin the space would have been appreciated. There were Dirty glasses in the mini bar. The shower screen wasn't long enough and resulted in a wet bathroom floor. There was no plug near a mirror and the only full length was on the inside of a dark wardrobe, unlike the pervious room. Staff weren't very warm or welcoming. Worst of all there was a huge dip in bed, that I was stuck sleeping in all night. The place other than the glasses were clean, facilities were great and its a lovely location.

The hotel was lovely but they did not tell us that they had booked all of the shared space and restaurants out for a private event, we are unable to use the facilities and room service. Very disappointed.

No parking available, room wasn’t cleaned despite multiple calls to housekeeping, noisy, air conditioning faulty

Overpriced for the service which was very haphazard. Not enough parking spots. Spa kids hours don't permit kids to access all facilities. A bit random.

Great ambience, hospitality and clean/serene pool/spa area. So picturesque, truly appreciated the thoughtfulness from the team, birthday desert plus room upgrade🌟 Thank you!

Friendly staff and beautiful deco in the reception and dining areas. Russell upgraded our room on arrival which was a nice surprise
