Enjoyed our stay, a beautiful historic home.

Nach einer sehr interessanten dreiwöchigen Rundreise durch Südafrika, haben wir die letzten beiden Nächte im Merindol Manor bei Vincent verbracht. Der freundliche Empfang durch den Hausherrn persönlich, die grossen, geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmer, das Schwimmbad, die Umgebung und natürlich das Frühstück vor dem Schwimmbad, das alles hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Mit Vincent haben wir uns sehr gut verstanden. Auch sind seine Deutschkenntnisse sehr gut. Seine Restaurant Tipps in Riebeek Castel waren der Hammer. Wir möchten uns bei Vincent bedanken, dass wir am letzten Tag vor dem Abflug am Abend das Zimmer bis 16.00 benutzten durften! Dieses Guesthouse können wir bestens empfehlen.

L'endroit est idealement situé entre ler et montagne sur les coteaux du charmant petit village de Riebeek Toujours un plaisir de revenir dans ce joli manoir sud africain! A peaceful place where the owner is very welcoming. The place is ideally locatedbetween sea and mountains, on the shore of Kasteelberg mountain and its charming little village Riebeek. It's always a pleasure to come back in this nice south african manor!

Tout était parfait ! L'accueil, la chambre, le petit déjeuner (magnifique), le staff... Rien à redire ! Si nous revenons dans la région, nous n'hésiterons pas une seconde à y retourner. Merci Vincent, thank you Nicola... pour tout... for everything !!!

Our stay was fabulous. The Manor is a beautiful, excellently run guesthouse that is decorated with such taste. It conveys an old world charm and yet is so comfortable. I had the best night's sleep in months and then enjoyed a superb breakfast.

We spent a relaxing stay in this delightful house. Dinner at a tremendous restaurant in town, and a good breakfast the following morning. Thank you so much

We are in love with the place. Very beautiful historic building, amazing decorations, decent breakfast and great recommendations for dinners from the manager Vincent. We stayed there for 2 nights , but I would love to have it longer. There are many interesting wineyards nearby, that worth visiting.

What an awesome beautiful place.. amazing garden and pool .. and the breakfast was out of this world..super friendly French Swiss owner Vincent we will go back for sure

This review is relatively objective being my 17th road trip, staying at 18 properties over a 43 night period. I stayed one night solo in February. Easily found in a quiet part of town, but within walking distance of shops & restaurants. Secure parking. Very welcoming, pleasant and hands on owner. Wonderfully restored old house with a perfect blend of old and new. Very pleasant gardens and pool area. Large, comfortable and well equipped air conditioned bedroom. Aircon not needed by me due to the natural coolness of the high ceilings room. Good quality bed linen and excellently fitted bathroom. Breakfast cooked to order was excellent. Good WiFi throughout. Highly recommended and if in the area again will return.
