夏爾酒店(The Shire Hotel)

The service was ok. The state of the the room was not great, it had a very bad smell and needed a good clean. The walls were all marked, the carpet was filthy as was the chair. The bathroom had a very bad smell, the shower was mouldy, the towels were like rags and needed to be thrown out and just generally needed a good clean. Overall it was just disappointing and I would not recommend to stay here.

Personalet var søde, men der var intet internet og 4G virkede ikke gennem deres tykke mure. Der stod det var lydtætte værelser, men det var det bestemt ikke. Man kunne høre en tallerken der blev sat på bordet ved morgenmaden. Morgenmaden var dårlig. Ikke særlig stort udvalg

Great hotel with friendly staff! My train arrived very late in the evening, and The Shire made sure to have a staff member there to check me in. The staff also helped me arrange transport to the airport when I had to check out very early in the morning.

Accueil très rapide, efficace et agréable, et chambre super avec vue sur l'entrée du parc et lit très grand et confortable. Climatisation qui nous a sauvé avec la température très élevée de fin aout, et petit déjeuner inclus très sympathique. Check out aussi très rapide. Je recommande

Absolute worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. When I arrived late at night, there was a leak in the AC and it was dripping on the floor. Since it was late, nobody could come to fix it until the next day. Between the smell and the noise, I could not sleep. I had to move down the street and pay for another hotel, which I informed the Shire about. I stayed at the Shire the second night. I was nothing but nice and understanding, and I did not make a fuss. However, I have reached out 3 times regarding a refund for the first night, or any sort of compensation, and I have not heard back. I have tried through *******, and they informed me the Shire refuses to give me a refund. Extremely frustrating and rude staff. I would like a response at the absolute minimum. No apology or anything. Avoid at all costs.

Room was beautiful, breakfast was convenient and easy. Property was clean and quaint. Would have liked access to an iron but other than that small thing it was a lovely place to stay. We would stay here again! Thank you!

Positive: breakfast, clean room. Negative: air condition broken and given a small stand one.TV was broken. Be aware that it is on the second floor of a commercial building. Desk staff is not there 24/7. Noise with bar down stair. Small elevator. Not really a hotel feel.

The Shire was a great place to stay for a few days in Rome. Right next to the Borghese Gardens and nicely located at the top of Via Veneto. The room was bright and beautifully appointed, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was varied and delicious. What a great find!
