戴爾安吉洛公寓(La Residenza Dell'Angelo)

It was a pleasant surprise when we arrived at the hotel and were given a whole apartment instead of just a room. They clean the apartment every day and upon arrival, they give you a generous supply of coffee, tea, and cookies. The room itself was quite spacious and had two wardrobes for our belongings. The kitchen was also well-equipped. We definitely plan on choosing this same hotel when we return to Rome again. Additionally, it only takes about 30 minutes on foot to reach nearly every tourist attraction in the city.

Primero nos pusieron en una habitación q la ventana daba a ras de calle,se oía mucho el ruido de los coches,pedimos la posibilidad de cambiarnos y Eduardo magisimo nos cambió sin problema.lo malo q la gente es muy mal educada y a las 7 de la mañana en la habitacion de al lado pegando gritos, en fin.hubicacion buenisima, al lado del castillo de san ánguelo y muy cerca del vaticano. Te mueves andando sin problema a todos lados.

We had the opportunity to stay in the "new" area and the hotel contacted us the day before we arrived to notify us because we would be staying across the street from the main building. There was no one there to greet us but they did provide us door codes to let us in and left the key on the front desk. They charged a city tax which we had to pay at the front desk of the main hotel. The only issues we had for check in is that both parts of the hotel are non-descript and have no signage outside - for the main part you have to look for the street number and the hotel's name is on the call board. I don't think either desk has staff after hours but we felt safe. The newer rooms are located below ground level beside a fairly busy street. Only motorcycles were the issue and we didn't hear them between 9 pm and 7 am. The bed was comfy with good pillows and the room came with a desk, closet and chair. The room was big enough for the two of us but the bathroom quarters were tight with a slanted ceiling that was quite low. I had to duck to use the toilet and get in and out of the shower - I bumped my head a lot in the washroom at 180 cm. The shower had good pressure and they provided extra packets of shampoo and soap. The shower head placement is a bit weird but wasn't a deal breaker. The hotel had a kettle with some tea, instant coffee and Biscoff biscuits. In the hallway they had a Krup/Nespresso machine to make espresso and coffee from pods. Another nice feature is that since the rooms we stayed in were below ground they stayed nice and cool. There was also its own AC/heat machine in the room with an English remote so we could control the climate of the room. The area is quite cool and we were a 20 minute walk to the Vatican City Museum Entrance and 10 minute walk to St. Peter's Square. The Castel Sant'Angelo was right across the river from us and was really nice to look at day and night. The forum and Colosseum area were about 30 minutes away as well and there were many small attractions and good restaurants nearby. April is the start of high season in Rome and we paid more than we wanted to for this hotel but relative to other crazy prices in Rome we thought we got a decent deal for a good night's sleep while we explored Rome. The prices seem to fluctuate a lot at this hotel and you could probably get a good deal here in low season. To get here you can take a 20 minute ride from Roma Termini on Bus 40 or 64 which is 1.5 Euros. If you're coming from or going to the airport the SIT bus was an excellent option and costs 8 Euros for a comfy sit down bus with a couple of stops. You can also take a train/bus combo from the airport to Roma Termini and then to the hotel. Anyway it is pleasant and convenient.

Se trata de un hotel pequeñito, con habitaciones repartidas en distintos edificios de una pequeña calle al lado de Castel Sant’Angelo, a pocos minutos andando del Vaticano y a unos escasos veinte minutos, también andando, de Piazza Navona, el Panteón, etc. La ubicación es muy buena. Las habitaciones, al estar unicadas en edificios que son pisos, pues son una lotería: te pueden tocar las que veis en las fotos promocionales o te pueden tocar muy poco iluminadas y mal distribuidas como la nuestra: solo entrar te comes la cama, tienes que pasar por un largo pasillo al lado de un patio de luces para acceder al baño, etc. Lo peor, por eso, sin duda son las paredes de cartón. Nuestra habitación quedaba a escasos dos metros de la recepción y se escuchaban constantemente las idas y venidas del resto de huéspedes. Las habitaciones, por eso, están muy limpias y, por el precio que cuesta, es una opción a valorar sin duda.

Arrendamos 3 habitaciones, 2 adentro del edificio via paola 46, muy oscuras, pero no se escuchaba ruido. y la otra quedaba en la misma calle pero era un departamento de 2 pisos que da a la calle. Se escuchaba todo, ruido de motos, autos, bocinas, gente gritando, etc. mal descanso después de jornadas largas recorriendo. No es un departamento para familia, ni niños, el segundo piso no tiene barandas, es un peligro para los niños.se supone que es para 5. Pero hay 2 camas dobles y sofas cama duro. No volvería nunca más

1) you need Whatsapp to check in but it doesn't say that anywhere before booking... Which is fine but wish I knew before I booked as I would have picked a place with a human at reception because I had to go find free wifi to get the information despite telling them my check-in time and when I'd be without service. 2) they have no one at the front desk despite saying on their website they do. I was out every morning at 930 and often back randomly between activities and saw no one other than one cleaning lady 3) this is not a hotel. This is a street that has one "hotel company" renting out rooms on a block. There were 5 units where I specifically stayed. 4) if there's a fire there's only one way out so you're dead if there's any issues. 5) there was no warm water other than my first morning. There was no one at the front desk. The person kept reading my whatsapp messages but didn't respond until I called Orbitz. 6) they told Orbitz their front desk is "two miles in front" 7) picture they show as an entrance to the hotel is .25 miles away across the water so you actually don't know what these random doors to enter look like as they are super discreet. That said: They were clean Safe neighborhood Great location Frugal So if you don't mind no hot water and you have internet than this may be fine for you. It wasn't awful but I would never stay there again and I wouldn't recommend it.

I stayed at the Residenza dell'Angelo in September, and paid a good amount of money to stay there. They helped with my transportation from the airport which was nice. The check in process was easy and night one went just fine. Night two when coming home after dinner I was unable to get into the establishment. I could get in the front door but not the second door. The key pad did not work. The lock on the door did not work. I rang the buzzer for easily 10 minutes with no help from the staff. Regardless I was unable to get into the building and therefore could not get into the room I paid for. Luckily I was traveling with other people and was able to sleep in their room. If that was not the case I would have been a young woman, stranded alone in a foreign country, late at night with nowhere to stay. After returning the next morning I then found the door to the hall open. We tested it to see if it does lock or if we were doing something wrong. It locked again, and then I found that from the inside of that door there is NO DOOR HANDLE. I was then locked inside the building. This is a MAJOR fire hazard on top of all the other issues with this. I luckily was checking out that day because at that point I felt unsafe staying at this establishment. When I got home from my trip I reached out to the La Residenza dell'Angelo to explain what happened, my concerns, and how I felt like I deserved a refund considering I was unable to even access the room I paid for. I received a very condescending response from the hotel. They asked, "are you sure that you did not sleep in your room?" They also decided to provide me with, "a discount of 20% on your next trip at Residenza dell'Angelo before December the 30th 2022". The fact that they are questioning me about where I slept as if I made all of this up and then providing me with a pathetic discount to a place I will never stepping foot in again is beyond infuriating. Needless to say, I would 100% NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. Not only was it unsafe that I was locked out of my room. The next morning we also discovered that this door had no door handle and you could be locked in the building too, very dangerous. They were rude, and dismissive when I informed them of this issue. Therefore, I will inform other people to save their money and not to spend time in this establishment.

Lo peor fue q nuestra habitación estaba a pie de calle, y era una calle sumamente transitada, con lo q a partir de las 06:00am no se podía dormir, debido al ruido de los coches y las personas q pasaban.
