We came here on vacation. It is supposedly a security locked hotel, but the clerk propped open the pool doors to outside. Two guys were using the hot tub. I do not think that they were guests. They had these small duffel bags with them, and the clerk was rummaging through them--suspicious. Pool deck was not cleaned properly. Water was pushed into pool. There was banging all night--either kids or construction. We did not sleep well. The new carpeting had plenty of tacks to step on. OUCH! No towels at pool, we had to ask. Breakfast was amazing, and enjoyable. It is mainly continental.

Bed wasn't made when we arrived; the nearby room cleaning staff immediately stopped what they were doing and got our room reqdy quickly. Bathroom faucet was extremely difficult to use -- it felt like you'd break it if you pulled hard enough to get water flowing (it didn't). Labels for hot/cold water in shower were reversed. We told the owner, who said he took over about five months ago. He said previous owners didn't invest in the place and he is fixing things as quickly as he can while retaining enough rooms to remain open. Plumbing issues are next on the list, he said. It was clear he was telling the truth, as there was evidence of remodeling going on in a couple places. Manager was extremely friendly and took the criticisms well. Other than the bathroom issues, no problems at all. Room was clean, comfortable, wi-fi worked well, and it had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. And at under $100 a night, it was very affordable.
