Motel is disgusting and so filthy and not up to standard for $250 a night what a joke No upkeep what so ever It’s so sub standard Asian lady in office so rude Would not recommend or give it one star Used to be emergency housing Do some maintenance and a deep clean if you want charge huge prices and better attitude in the office DONT RECOMMEND

Great room, had the large ground floor one at the front and it was really large, with a nice kitchen, lounge, dining table, spa (we did not use) and comfortable bed. Wifi was also good. Staff were really nice and helpful. Being really picky, only comments would be no ice cube maker available, nor was room serviced every day, but neither really mattered to us as, when I asked, I was given some ice. Hotel is a little way out of town, but this is no issue as there is free parking in town even during the week and there were also plenty of buses. We did not book a motel on Fenton St for our first visit to Rotorua as we thought it would be too noisy, but this was not the case with the Coachman. We had a room facing the road and it is quiet at night. Wish I had booked here the first time as it was only marginally more expensive that the first place we stayed and heaps better (and because we booked late, had to have the largest room as well - smaller rooms looked good too). Would definitely stay there again.

if you are seeking fights violence yelling screaming and drunk, this is the best place for you! otherwise, Avoid this place at all cost!!!!!Extremely unsafe here!!!!! The worst thing is not the loud and long yelling screams and fights next door at night! It’s this motel’s attitude towards the guests that disgusted me. After my partner and I left in a hurry cos of fear and extreme anxiety caused by the coachman motel, we sent an email and asked for a full refund as our lives were at risks and trip was ruined and time was wasted on dealing with this and had to find another place to stay at night! But they replied that they can’t give refund it’s not under their control and we should call the police instead. Also there were no receptionists there when we were trying to seek help. Don’t run a motel in the first place if you can’t even guarantee the SAFETY of your customers! The owner blamed my partner and I for not informing them when the fights and yelling happened next door while our door is made of glass and easy to break in. “Sorry” for didn’t have time to inform you when i was too scared cos I felt my life was in danger so I’d rather choose to flight instead of fight in the first place? It’s not the uncomfort of the room that I can inform first and wait for your response and there were no receptionists there!

Although this hotel tries to be camp by looking like it something from the 1940s it’s actually just trying to cover up the fact that it’s really dilapidated. There was no light in the bathroom, the rug was filthy, the bed was unusually soft. They have rented out half of the motel as small studio apartments probably because of the pandemic. The person in one of those apartments played really loud boombox music until 10 o’clock every night. The one saving grace was the kitchen was very clean and useful. Just be prepared if you book this place. Good luck.

We would recommend coachman spa motel too everyone and anyone our stay there is so good stuff is very kind in every way 😊 it would also be our first choice of motel when we are ever in rotorua too stay

Room 19 was a fabulous spacious room, great lighting, comfy bed, plenty of pillows. Well equipped kitchen, 2 thick, large tea towels, cooking facilities were good and as an added bonus, the Motel supplies S&P and paper towels. In fact our room was so well stocked for the 4 days that we stayed that we did not need to ask for anything. The bathroom/Spa room was lovely, light and airy, a great shower and great Spa bath that didn't take too long to fill. Staff were friendly and the owner/manager was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly lady at the desk. Older motel but very well kept and very clean and quite. Had the best Spa after a long day out walking. Great cooking facility. The rooms are huge so you have room to move around. Was not walking distance from the City Centre but that wasn't a problem for us

Like most have said, the property is fairly old but the staff do a great job keeping it clean and tidy and were always very helpful.

We paid over priced rooms close to a grand for 2 rooms. Room 5 had water leak from fridge on white tile which was invisible. My little nephew fell and got hurt. Carpets are so dirty. U will only know if u wipe it with wipes etc. Room 14 had Spa not working.spa buttons were sealed since they don’t work. Mast bedRoom bed light switch button about to pop off and light not working. Dangerous of little ones touch popped switch button. Extremely dirty carpets. Hair dryer rear safety Shield missing. Wife’s hair got ****** in. I had to cut her hair to remove dryer. Radio in room is sitting without any wire/power cable. Can’t use it.whats the point ? Noise from next door visitors so loud that u can’t sleep. Their spa made lots of sound as well. Parking space is horrible. Next door visitors hitting car with their doors. Turning space limited.
