We booked a 2 night stay at this hotel, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay right in the historic heart of Rouen. We opted for a standard room, and requested a room overlooking the internal courtyard, as we had heard these were the best rooms. We were not disappointed and the hotel lived up to expectations. The room, although small, was comfy, quiet and well equipped with a sizeable king size bed, soft fluffy pillows (more brought promptly on request), a desk area with nespresso machine and a hospitality tray, a small wardrobe with safe, iron and ironing board. The adjoining bathroom had a large shower with double heads and an efficient heated towel rail, with plenty of towels, and robes etc, as well as nice toiletries to use including shampoo, body wash, conditioner and moisturiser. We had booked valet parking, but on arrival at the hotel we struggled to find the entrance, despite having been sent directions, so we called the hotel and the concierge guided us in. We were then helped with our luggage and our car was parked for us. despite this costing 27 euros for 24 hours, it was well worth it as I don't know where we would have parked otherwise, and it meant convenience, peace of mind and security for our vehicle. The hotel is a beautiful building, sympathetically created from a historic masterpiece, to accommodate the workings of a hotel, even including a wonderful pool and spa. We enjoyed our time using the facilities and made the most of the gym, pool, hammam and sauna over the weekend. Staff were helpful, polite, friendly and very accommodating to all our requests, even granting a late check out on departure, having asked the night before - it was arranged seamlessly for us. We especially liked - the wonderful buffet breakfast with excellent selection of fresh fruit, hot cooked items, cold meats, cheese and youghurts etc, and bread and pastries with local jams and honey. - the refillable chilled water bottle provided in the room which could be filled with cold, still and sparkling water - the wonderful pool, hamman and spa - the location which was right in the historic centre - the staff who were all helpful and polite and spoke excellent English. Small areas for improvement - the air conditioning in the room didn't seem particularly efficient, even when turned to high. - the one lift is terribly slow: mostly we gave up and used the stairs
We had an overnight stay after a long drive from Switzerland. Parking available under the hotel. Refreshing swim in the pool. The restaurant and food were formidable. The staff were friendly, polite young people and were happy and egar to help. The panacota desert was off the scale. Would most certainly return hear.
Room is beautifully decorated. Amenities is sufficient.
Location is perfect right infront of the train station. Is walkable to the crowded city centre. So is very well located. Room and wifi all works well. Only down side would just be the lighting’s of the room is a little dim as it gets late and theres no light near the door or mirror !
We selected this hotel for it's central location and secure car park and it didn't let us down. It sits on a site with a Mercure Hotel which has advantages and disadvantages. The car park is huge, don't feel the need to grab the first place you see, it really does carry on forever. The car park lift will then deposit you in the Mercure where you check in. You will need to remember that lift as if you forget and try to get back to the car park in one of the other Mercure lifts you will find yourself in their conference suites! Breakfast and dinner are served in the Mercure and are excellent. We found all the staff very friendly and as we were there on one of the nights that England were playing in the Euros we were able to enjoy the match on a large screen that had been set up. Whilst having access to all the Mercure facilities was wonderful it does leave the Ibis somewhat lacking. The reception area resembles a storage area. The rooms however are comfortable, the bathroom in our room looked like a pod that had been created elsewhere and dropped into the room but whilst small it was functional. The air conditioning worked well and we had two very comfortable nights.
Great place for a stopover. Hotel is close to river with numerous restaurants. Disconcerting was having to ring a bell to gain access to hotel. However greeted by a rally nice an friendly receptionist. Car parking is 12 euros. There is a height restriction and would suspect difficult to get a larger SUV into underground carpark. Very steep and narrow. Make sure you remember passcode as need that to gain access to parking area and hotel. Big surprise was size of room which was able to divide into two by a curtain. Contained a microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee machine as well as a safe. Able to buy microwavable meals in reception. Bed comfortable and whole room felt clean and fresh. Nice size bathroom with both bath and shower as well as hair dryer. Separate toilet. Our view was over a modern courtyard. Not nicest of views. Would ask for a river view. For location and comfort would definitely stay again.
Stayed in room 223 which was in front of hotel. In spite of it being a busy road the soundproofing did its job and there was little outside noise. Roundabout was fun to watch - not so much fun to get out onto when leaving hotel. The room was extremely comfortable. Bathroom had walk in shower and was modern and clean. Breakfast typical of Ibis/Novotel. Selection of breads, cheeses and hams as well as cereals. Nice view over Rouen Rugby ground. I parked in hotel carpark- remember to get code before leaving. Hotel about 20 minutes walk into city centre.
ZzongshengwordThis hotel is marketed as a budget hotel and you may not chose it as it is out of town BUT this hotel is clean and looks just like the pictures, yes there is a bit of bare MDF in the rooms but everything was great. Aircon worked breakfast was plentiful bed very comfortable. We had room 278 and was very quiet as over looked the car park. Parking was on site and they have lifts to all the floors. They have fantastic areas for lounging all with USB ports for devices. Just two minutes up the road up a side street is a funky pop up burger bar that does an array of foods including the best steak I have ever had. The hotel has a save the planet ethos which can be seen with paper cups in the bathroom and decor. It was a real gem staying here and a bus stop only two minutes away takes you into town for 1.7euroes each way. I would never stay in the centre too busy and this hotel gives you the tranquillity you want on a holiday. There is a also a posh pastry shop nearby too
訪訪客Easy on-site parking and 10-15 minutes walk to the historical center. Very grumpy, slow and inefficient check-in. Nobody noticed that I am a Silver member or the ”request” in my reservation. Therefore, I had to ask for a welcome drink and was allocated in a room facing the backyard. Cheapie attitude as they provide only one welcome drink for the card-holder ...even if the room and breakfast is paid for two persons... and I gave up waiting for the bar-tender to get my beer. Seriously, how much would it cost you to offer an extra soft-drink? If you do it on purpose so that the customer has to pay the abnormally high price you charge for a beer, then it is simply a bad policy which has negative impact on welcoming attitude. Shower only and an-all around ”detergent” suitable for hair, body ... and probably also dishes and car-wash. Usually in 4* hotels you have branded amenities and full-size bathtub. Even when there is a shower only, the installation is better and it doesn't require that the tenants must mop the floor every time after using it. Therefore, bad value for money, especially since you get almost the same at an IBIS with 35% cheaper rate. Excellent breakfast in every aspect ...variety of dishes and quick replenishment. Sleep comfort and air-conditioning were very good and that saved the day ... or the night :-) - IF I will be ever returning to the area, I will either choose the adjacent IBIS with river view, or a similar priced centrally located hotel.

訪訪客Tired, dated, dingy, - key card slot for electric supply fell off wall and had difficulty getting it to stay put! Seemed to be limited supply of towels and toilet rolls despite our double occupancy! No air con but at least supplied a fan! During our visit to France we stayed in a couple of Mercure hotels and 3 Ibis as my husband is a platinum card holder the one in Rouen is by far the worst one! As part of a chain of hotels they can usually be relied upon for a certain standard of accommodation depending on the level from Sofitel and MGallery to Ibis budget being the cheap and cheerful end for our road trip. This one disappointed!
