The hotel was very good for 3-star hotels and for what we paid, particularly for the Ruhengeri city. We were a group of three couples (for three rooms), none of us complained because we were aware of hotels standards in that area. The hotel has a beautiful view outside alongside the swimming pool, the rooms were good per the hotel standard, and the breakfast was so good, the staff were friendly

Friendly, helpful staff, but some distance from NP Very friendly and helpful staff with a restaurant on-site and the historic hotel/hangout across the street. A bit far from the national park. No fan, AC or mosquito net in room. Luckily, I didn't need the latter. A bit worn around the edges, but relatively comfortable.

It was low season, I was the only guest in the whole hotel. The mood was distinctively depressive. The dinner food took an hour to be cooked and was cold when it came. The room, especially the bathroom, had seen better days. The bed was comfortable though and the breakfast was on time and ok. No photocopying services were available. No airconditioning, no safe. The pool was ok but there were no loungers. Overall not a cheerful experience.

This hotel was all we needed: clean, not expensive, with a bathtub in each room, a good view on the swimming-pool, very friendly staff, good breakfast when you want, cheap beers, not far from the town center, close to several good restaurants (Muhabura, Amikus, Migano), etc. We went to the caves on the first day. And enjoyed the swimming-pool, the bathtub and the spacious room in the afternoon. On the second day, we had breakfast at 6.00 am (incredible!) and then we climbed Mount Sabynyo. It was really nice. We saw a group of gorillas on our way back. I didn't imagine they were so huge! We came back at around 4:00 pm. We had already checked out, but the receptionist said we could take a shower in our room. And we had a shower! Wow! So friendly! I slept in about 10 hotels in Ruhengeri (Musanze). To me, this one was the best. If I go back to that town, I won't have to search for a new hotel. I already know: Gorillas Volcanoes Hotel.

Super friendly oasis of a hotel in Musanze, with lovely gardens and spotless rooms. The restaurant takes a long time to serve food, but we had some of the best Rwandan dishes we had in the country out of a kitchen down a looong corridor. And the nicest staff who served us breakfast at the crack of dawn and made pack lunches so we could leave early for our daily excursions. Also: great laundry services.
