We keep on trying, but keep on being disappointed in this badly run upmarket boutique hotel. A manager is urgently needed to run the hotel. If there is a manager, he or she is in hiding. Your floor needs serious help. The service is non-existent, the kitchen poorly run and you are far overpriced for what you deliver. My husband tried to make a booking for Valentines. The person helping with this was not sure what menu was going to be served and evetually just hang up on him after an unproffesional conversation. Arriving in good hope, whe found a full restaurant with available table. Great was our disappointment to realise that for the R525/head 3 course set menu… only a few dishes was actually available. We waited 90 minutes for just the breadrolls, never you mind the cold baked camenbert and cold beef Wellington. Dear sir or madam… a couple of your guests walked out tonight. We were close. Children left hungry. You really need to jack up your kitchen and staff. It is unacceptable to feed people at your establishment for R525/head. The sad thing is that you are sitting on a beautiful gem, but refuse to run it properly.

We were not hotel guests jist visited the restaurant for dinner. First of all, we were told that the restaurant is fully booked l. We decided to drive in for takeouts. Once we had placed out orders we literally waited for 2 hours for our food and thats after we complained. The waiter conceded that they had not coped with orders all day and the average waiting was 2 hours. Many other customers were visibly annoyed not to mention hungry. They only had 2 chefs on duty for a fully pre-booked restaurant. The order was below average we ordered a pasta meal, Fettuccine Alfredo. It was more like mac and cheese. I was hugely disappointed and skeptical about dver considering to stay at the hotel.

We had a team meeting here in April. This property was built to accommodate the English football team and has some amazing rooms. Very spacious and the food and the staff are top class as well. Their conference facilities are also very well managed and I really could not find any issues at all in the property. Its about 30 mins from sun city so maybe thats the only thing why I am giving it four stars

The Hotel is great. Landscaping is nice. It a very Business style/type hotel but the service is much to worry about and is slow . 30 minutes to get a cappuccino until we walked away. The staff on the breakfast is more DIY. The gym is nice and big . On New years over breakfast, tons off grass cutting at 08.30 am. Tons of noise. The iron table are burnt and not presentable. Water leakage in the room number 125. The management needs to look at these bits and peices. Overall the facilities are good and if well looked after could bring better results.

It was my first time visiting this facility and I was pleasantly surprised with how beautiful and spacious the rooms were. The bed had rose petals which made it more romantic. The location is so peaceful and the only downside is how long the kitchen took to prepare dinner. The food was great and I will honestly be visiting again.

Royal Marang is a beautiful hotel, and the rooms are spacious and clean. It is quite and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious. The place has nice amenities in terms of leisure, and they could maybe increase the pool size. Breakfast was good though they could use a chef on site for omelets and custom cooked eggs.

I sent my comments directly to the management of the hotel, but they were ignored. Instead the hotel reminded me to sent my review. OK, gey it! "While the reception service, main building, and the room where I stayed made the best possible impression, there are embarrassing issues which bring shame on the management of the hotel, advertised as a 5-star. Have you ever walked around the soccer fields, looked behind the Boma place? All these places, which are invisible directly from the main entrance, are full of garbage, which was not cleaned for definitely more than one year: empty paper packs after juices, milk and other drinks, plastic bottles of different sizes, torn plastic bags of different sizes, used foam plastic take-away packages, packaging paper, used hygiene products, used medical syringes (and, one can suppose, if syringes - needles also could be somewhere there, which are invisible, thus even more dangerous...). Can it be a feature of a 5-star hotel??? If Royal MArang is declared as a 5-star hotel, then everything, and not only what is visible from the road and the main entrance to the building, must be worthy of a 5-star facility and shining like a new Rand coin, and shouldn't look like a forgotten dumping site in a provincial village. While the hotel is not full during low season, why not mobilize temporary excessive staff to clean the territory? And keep it clean and tidy after that overall deep cleaning for forever times... One more thing. The breakfast was announced to be available from 6.30 AM. This Sunday I came at 7.00 and I couldn't find any clean and really ready for breakfast table: the crambles from the yesterday's dinner, no paper tissues, pieces of used toothpicks on the side plates carefully covered with unpacked wet tissues, no full cutlery sets on the table, no "juice station" ready for use, and for a 5-star hotel a full scale "egg station" is a must, but you don't have it."

What a lovely hotel! It was so peaceful and quiet. The rooms are outstanding. The food at the restaurant was great, but a little expensive for locals. The service was wonderful and everyone was friendly, helpful and pleasant

The customer service was exceptional, felt like a royal guest at the Royal Marang. A very calm and relaxing environment, perfect for resting and refreshing. My wife and I look forward to returning to the hotel.

This facility is clean with well equipped rooms and public areas. Rooms has nice flat screen TV, Nespresso machine with Lavazza pods. The bathroom has both shower and bath even with towel warmer! The highlightwas the Spa and Sauna facilities and the very friendly staff. The gym was good with more equipment than most other gyms! Grounds outside are wel kept and impressive. Breakfast is the disappointment due to the poor variety. Dinner menu is over priced.
