The property was nice the room was excellent. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is this property now charges you 20 per night to park . That is absolutely ridiculous. The parking lot is an open lot why the fee?

The Marriott in Saddle Brook was by far the worst hotel I have ever experienced. Upon checking out this morning 2-25-24, I checked to make sure that there were no charges to my room. To my surprise the receptionist told me that there was a $29 charge to the room and asked me if I had breakfast this morning which I told her no!! She told me she would check with the manager to remove the charge because this could have happened in error. The manager asked me the same question and I told her no breakfast. I along with my kids ate our food from home which I warmed up in the hotel microwave. That manager then goes over to another employee at the restaurant. This individual was very aggressive and extremely rude. She then told me that two boys had breakfast this morning from my room. I reassured her that there were no boys in my room, just 3 girls and neither them nor I ate breakfast this morning. She kept on accusing me of the boys from my room who had the breakfast. Because I am African American she assumed the two boys were with me and this is unacceptable. I told her to pull the camera to prove that we didn’t have breakfast and she told me that there are no cameras. How can a hotel of this caliber not have cameras? I then told her to come to my car and see that there are no boys in my car. After refusing, I went to my car and got my child, I then showed her and the manager the photo I took in the lobby of me and the girls eating their pizza that I warmed up in the hotel.

They charge you to park your car at this hotel. I feel this is absolutely ridiculous since there is no other choice for you to park. Who goes to a hotel and pays to have your car in their lot? I have been to many different hotels and never had to pay to park at the facility. They have you at a disadvantage since what other choice do you have? Who goes to a hotel and doesn't have a car? Very disappointed with this policy.

The pool is indoor located in the middle of the hotel and all the levels of rooms surround the pool. The chlorine from the pool seeps into the rooms and is very strong. I was getting nauseous and made it very hard to sleep.

The service was excellent. The pool wasnt open which is whyvi didnt gove them 5 stars. Upon booking the place this one the reasons i booked the room.

Clean, safe. very good location and very good continental breakfast. Room clean and modern the only negative but not that important was the fact that coffee machine was very very, hallway carpet is old and look dirty

Perfect location for our little family getaway. Near American dream and a train station to go into NYC. I only wish breakfast was included. Also their website says the pool is down & it wasn’t.

We stay at the Marriott from December 24th to 25th, booked for over $150. Despite an impressive lobby, Room 257 on the 2nd floor was in an old building, lacking an elevator. The room, reminiscent of 2015, needed extensive repairs. Issues included a malfunctioning A/C, costly Wi-Fi ($12/day), and a cold swimming pool with no assistance available. The indoor pool's humidity made the air uncomfortable. Despite planning to check out after breakfast, we left at 4:00 am due to poor air quality. Having stayed in over 15 Marriotts across five countries, this was the worst experience. I may consider Marriott again but not at this location until the new building is complete. The stay was a letdown for my family.

Told about hotel being refurbished with minimal time to book elsewhere. Hotel room was poor and in dire need of refurbishment. The sink tap leaked when turned on whether using the hot or cold tap. The room decor was shabby and very tired.There was no hair dryer or door courtesy card in the room. The noise from the plant machinery outside the bedroom window was intrusive. Breakfast was included in the room rate, this was mediocre at best and the service was poor. On the positive side the fitness centre and pool area were good, Pablo, the bar tender was efficient and pleasant. The bar food was good. This hotel falls below the usual Marriott standard and was therefore disappointing. Room for improvement at this hotel.
