青年堡酒店(Fort Young Hotel)

L’hôtel est bien situé (à proximité du port et des commerces). Les équipements confortent le design « luxueux «  de l’hôtel (piscine, jacuzzi , spa, restaurant, deux bars, salle de sports , boutique et galerie d’art). Le personnel est courtois, gentil et serviable.

Ocean front view has literally jaw-dropping views. Snorkel or dive right from the property. Good gym, lovely pool. Close to ferry, grocers/pharmacy. Nice restaurant. Room was huge and really lovely. Highly recommend staying here if you are in Rouseau (but I wouldn't spend more than a few days in Rouseau unless you have diving and hiking excursions booked; not much to do in the town itself).

The ocean view room was fantastic, clean and exactly as we expected. Staff where friendly and always available if we had any questions or requests. We had some small issues which the management and staff cleared up effectively and efficiently. I have stayed at fort young previously many years ago and this time was just as satisfying.

Very disappointed in limited menu, leaning heavily towards Asian fusion, which is not a choice for me. Saturday lunch: asain fusion $50 XCD, no other options. Told I could order from pool bar menu (but not told I could still stay in main resto), go to pool, order something. More than 1/2 hr later, phone rings at bar, server comes to tell me that kitchen out of my choice. I give up and go down street to supermarket and purchase lovely prepared salad at fraction of price! Also, there doesn't appear to be any flexibilty re: hours of service - kitchen last order 9 pm. However flight to Dominica from Barbados arrives at other side of island at 7:30 pm, takes at least 30 minutes to clear covid check, immigration and customs and then at least 1hr drive to hotel after that. Barely into hotel in time to order something from room service, which stays open a bit later (at an extra charge), restaurant had aready stopped taking new orders. This is THE main hotel in Roseau. They should be prepared to provide more service to guests than what I found, especially given airline schedules which are beyond my - or their - control. Only one person at very small area that passes for "front desk". Responsible for phones, bills and guests standing in front of her. I have been visiting Dominica for more than 30 years, and a guest numerous times since 1991. And I have to say that while the rooms are nice, that's about it. The TV channel options are more than puzzling, they're dreadful.

It's a good location, but for the price, you would expect more. I would have given a better rating, but they refused to lock my bag away in the office after I checked out and wanted to keep it by the front desk (which I saw without personnel a few times) There is also significant construction happening at the moment.

Hotel staff was nice and tried to be helpful, but as there was no communication whatsoeber between the frontdesk ladies it was extremely difficult to get anything done. Like pcr test. The condition of the hotel is terrible. We were locked out of the room one night, and our neighbour told that the same problem there had been with the door and lock also during the stay of previous guest. They did not did the problem and gave us a room they knew wont work! As said, people are friendly, hotel is clean, in lobbybar good food and perfect service. Location is perfect.

The location was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Disappointing that the pool bar wasn't open, and you had to walk across the property to order anything from the main bar. There was a sign saying call this number to order something, but the phone next to it didnt work. Food was great when it arrived. Front desk were fantastic and very helpful. Would stay here again if the price reflected the current level of service available. More of the lovely staff would help sort the delays in service.

The nicest hotel in Dominica. A lovely offering of bars, pool, hot tub, and working area. Excellent WiFi for the working travelers as well. The abundant staff are very kind. The negatives. The cruise ships come and go directly in front of the most amazing view. This happens daily and it will steal your soul. Unless you for some reason like to look at a large over sized vessel packed with people. Additionally, the options for an early check in seems not to exist even though the hotel has minimal occupancy. Not sure why. We had a major water leak from our ceiling. Luckily we were in the room when it occurred and reported it immediately. We had to pack everything and shift to another room. Nothing was even suggested as a token for the inconvenience. Even with that list of cons. It is still a lovely place to land in Roseau.
