OYO-聖海倫斯湖濱海多克酒店(OYO Lakeside Haydock Hotel, St Helens)

Non mi trovo affatto d'accordo con gli altri recensori, l'hotel è pulito, silenzioso e non ci sono persone strane. Lo staff è gentile anche se un po' grezzo. Stanza carina, bagno grande e con tutto il necessario, incluso phon. Parcheggio privato e wifi gratuito. Non è presente il servizio ristorazione (a parte un distributore automatico), ma letteralmente di fianco c'è un Toby Carvery. Volendo è possibile chiedere una stanza vista lago. L'unico neo è stato il dover aspettare un po' prima che la receptionist ci facesse fare il check in e l'aver trovato il distributore di sapone in doccia vuoto. Per il resto davvero nulla da dire, è un ottimo hotel economico, perfetto per una notte o due se si ha intenzione di utilizzarlo solo per dormire.

Arrived for a one night stop over. It is situated next to a lake and pub/ restaurant. The whole place is run dawn and a bit depressing. The lake gets used by kids and drinkers after dark. Not the place for an evening walk.

Booked this hotel 6 months before we were due to stay but the a couple of weeks before we got the email/phone call saying due to unforseen circumstances the room wasnt available this seems to be a regular thing at this hotel

The hotel cancelled my booking the night before I was supposed to come and stay and then still charged me the full price even though I was to pay on arrival + I didn’t actually go to the hotel

Booked her weeks in advance. 24 hours before I was due to arrive I was moved to an OYO miles away in Warrington. Shambolic organiasation. New place was a dump. No reason given, no attempt to apologise. Absolutely joke

I found many positives in staying at OYO Lakeside Hotel. Clean. Comfortable. Good bathroom. the only criticism I have is the noise from other rooms. Sadly I could hear people opening and closing their doors and the sound of people walking about overhead. This really spoiled an otherwise excellent stay.

Very friendly and efficient receptionist. No TV aerial cable in room. Promptly replaced by reception. Smell from sewers in bathroom. Loose toilet seat and tap on wash basin. Toilet paper so cheap your finger go through. No soap provided. Used towel in bathroom and only 1 clean one provided. Dirty cup mark on bedside table in covid period! Bathroom waste bin not empty. No waste bin in room. Insufficiently thick pillows and only 1 each. Having frequently stayed in similar price and cheaper hotels throughout Europe I can say this is the worst.

Stay was great we went to see Sir Tom Jones in Haydock and Chris the lovely lady on reception was extremely helpful as I hadn’t printed my tickets out and she very kindly did them for me she also helped a few other guests with taxis etc lovely lady

The staff were friendly and I even won a bottle of wine on a scratch card as they were celebrating 2years open . Would defiantly go back 😀
