Sunset Reef St. Kitts

Not sure if you’d call this a hotel, resort, inn, but it’s def a boutique gem with a gorgeous view of every sunset. Sense was amazing, Natasha, esp took care of our every need and request. Peaceful and extremely relaxing stay. Easy travel from the airport and near Basseterre and other sites. Easily one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Avoid the large resorts and treat yourself to this special place.

My friends and I stayed at Sunset Reef in St. Kitts for four days, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we landed, everything was seamless. Natasha, the manager, arranged our airport pickup, and we arrived safely and stress-free at the villa. We were welcomed at the gate by the staff, who greeted us with cold towels (which were much needed in the island heat) and took care of our luggage. Once escorted to our villa, we received a full tour and were welcomed with complimentary rum punch, the perfect way to start our stay. Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast on the property, and the staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating to our preferences. Every team member was kind, friendly, and genuinely warm. Their hospitality alone makes us want to return to St. Kitts. We spent our days relaxing by the pool with breathtaking sunset views and our evenings at the sandbar overlooking the water, enjoying the cool island breeze. I especially loved that the property offers access to a black sand beach, such a unique and beautiful experience. The staff also provided excellent recommendations for things to do off-property, which made exploring the island even more enjoyable.

Absolutely scam, is impossible to pay $1,500 for this hotel , the rate should be max $650.00 it’s not even close to a Ritz Cartlon or Four Seasons; thar are charging the same amount. Scam

We absolutely loved staying at Sunset Reef. It’s a beautiful hotel with an amazing setting and incredible views. The hosts, Natasha and Joel, are both so helpful and friendly and organised all of our activities on St Kitts ahead of our stay. The restaurant is lovely too with lots of choice. It was a perfect experience and we’d love to come back soon!

My wife and I visited for 3 nights during the week and had the best time. Our trip started once we booked, when Laverne - the concierge - reached out to share options for transportation and see if there were any activities we wanted while on the island. A few emails until our trip and we had a hike, say of sailing / snorkeling and even some restaurants to look into. Absolutely let them hire your transportation, as they basically set us up with our own personal driver for entire stay. Miss Caryl runs a nice van Taxi service and was super awesome. When you said you would be downstairs by 8 AM, she was there right on time with a smile. Make sure you bring cash - cards not accepted. Every excursion - hiking with Al and Sailong with Leeward cruises was spot on excellent. We were so well taken care of. The rooms were wonderful and the entire property was gorgeous. We appreciated the solar power, the geothermal heating, and void of single use plastics. I appreciate sustainable travel. We took a walk down to the beach and Kayaked and snorkeled. The pool area and restaurant were stunning and the food was amazing. When we got there, Laverne asked if there was anything specific that we might want for dinner, and I said lionfish – which is an invasive species that has no predators. They are quite excellent, but you have to dive to catch them. On the morning of our last full day, Laverne said she had a surprise for us and they were able to source lionfish from a local Fishmonger. I couldnt beloeve it, and know she had to make a lot of calls to make it happen.!. It was the chef’s first time cooking them, but she did a wonderful job. I hope they put lionfish on the menu to create a market for fisherman to go capture these little buggers that destroy the reefs. We had such a great time, and the crew was absolutely stellar - Everyone.

The service was really very good. Everyone who worked there was very professional, helpful, and pleasant. You can WhatsApp the managers and get nearly immediate replies. The property is small but very well taken care of. It’s a smaller (boutique) hotel so if feels like a mansion with a half-dozen or so rooms. All the rooms face the same way. The staff were happy to arrange taxis and recommend delivery restaurants. The infinity pool is small but more than enough. The staff will set up beach chairs and pool chairs for you. They’ll bring over water if they see you don’t have any. A couple of reasons that I deducted slightly more than one star is the value. I paid around what I’d pay for the Nevis Four Seasons. This boutique was nice but overpriced; I think that it cost double what it should. To be clear, I’m not saying that the price was too high— I’m saying that the price was too high for what you get (value). On top of the room rates there were a lot of service charges ($175/night for VAT, fees, and other charges). Some of this may be legally required (VAT) but not sure about the rest. I didn’t deduct for this because of the uncertainty. You’ll like this hotel if you’re looking for a boutique experience with lovely people. But you won’t if you’re used to a luxury resort with multiple restaurants or nearby places to visit.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Sunset Reef! This hotel is situated atop a cliff with a beautiful view of the Caribbean, stunning sunsets, and easy access to a beach below. It is perfectly located in the central part of the island, making it an easy drive to everything. The staff is kind, helpful, and thinks of everything. The rooms are spacious, extremely clean, and the bed was so comfy! The vibe is "comfortable luxury" - every part of this hotel feels luxurious yet unpretentious. We spent several days exploring the island, and each day, when we returned to Sunset Reef, we were welcomed by a gorgeous view and a refreshing cocktail. Lavern, Natasha, Joel, and every member of the staff went out of their way to make our visit special. If you're lucky enough to visit St. Kitts, Sunset Reef is a can't-miss spot!

Sunset Reefs is simply extraordinary! From the location to the staff to the food. Our best meals of the week were at Drop the Anchor. I cannot say enough about the amazing experience we had. I’d highly recommend!

This was a terrific trip. A couple hiccups in service were tended to swiftly and warmly by management and staff. Joel and Natasha are wonderful hosts, and Lavern is a jewel of a concierge. Garfield is a fine chef and fun too, plus keep your eye on up-and-coming Kaheda Warner in the culinary world. Massages with Annette and Ethel recommended too.
