I loved the scenery. It was a lovely location and the house-in-the-woods character was well developed from the outside. I didn't feel the interiors were up to par though. I was staying in sunnyside which was a gorgeous house with a very rustic feel but the interiors felt very stuffy and dated. The staff, though friendly, could have been a bit more welcoming especially since it takes a long journey to get to that hotel. I don't feel the ammenities of the location, such as for example the breakfast situation or where we have access to (e.g. for a swim) were explained and there was little of it in the room itself. It is a stunning venue though. they have much more they can do with it!

Booked the Woodside Suite for a couples getaway. Check-in was at 4pm; our room was unavailable until 5 pm. Gentlemen at desk was nice, super apologetic and even got us sodas, but this was less than ideal. My understanding from the website was that check-in is completely contactless, but it was a traditional front desk check-in process. Additionally, website indicates that bagels & donuts are sold weekdays as a breakfast option. A continental breakfast was available, not the bagels & donuts for purchase. While free is nice, it was a bare minimum generic bagel & pastry breakfast. I would have preferred to pay for some really good bagels & donuts. For the price we paid, the room was sub-par. See pictures of multiple spiders, a hole in the door handle stuffed with tissue paper, broken clothes hook, a shower that had so little water pressure it was unusable (we literally did not shower). The cleanliness and condition of the room were poor. We could have gone elsewhere and had a much cleaner room. We did not realize the lake was across the street from the property (our error) and that this was not lake front. Positives: staff was very nice, patio & jacuzzi of Woodside Suite in good condition.

If you are used to four seasons class hotels, you will not enjoy this. The hotel is both old and deteriorating. Exterior of the town homes is falling apart. Includes features like open stairs without protective railings that would not pass today’s building code. Very small TVs. Do not recommend.

Interlaken was the perfect weekend getaway for my fiancé and I. The property and surrounding area are beautiful. We stayed in the Main Building and found the room to be clean and comfortable. The resort is clearly well cared for and the staff are all so friendly and accommodating! We will definitely be back!

I came up with my family and stayed in the Townhouse suites. OUTSTANDING in every way. This is now my 6th time staying at the Interlaken Inn. When my husband and I choose a place, the Interlaken is always our first choice. We never have to deal with any issues. The rooms always smell wonderfully when we arrive. The refrigerators are cold and ready for all our food. But the best part is how welcoming Kevin and the staff are. 5 stars is not enough for this wonderful place. Thank you so much for another outstanding stay. And to all those that demand clean...this is your place. Look no further.
