庫克船長酒店(The Captain Cook Inn)

We thought this was a comfortable enough place and fairly spacious for three guests. Good location just at the top of the hill above the village below. The one frustrating element was that even though the place had wi-fi, it was so poor it was useless. When we asked for help in regards to the wi-fi, we were told that it usually doesn’t work. The place continues to advertise as having it though.

There was onsite parking but a little tricky navigating in the evenings when the car park was full. Felt quality of breakfast could be improve i.e butter instead of margarine. bread seemed cheap quality, scrambled egg was basic and dry. Room was lovely and the view was gorgeous! I could hear what was happening in the room next door though! I paid £90 for the night including breakfast, For the time of year and location thought this was reasonable

Very nice place to stay. For the price, it’s a great deal. Basic room, but perfectly suitable for the needs of those of us who just want a comfortable bed and a good shower. Food was great. Service also very good and friendly. I’ll stay there again if I am ever in that part of the country.

Very helpful staff, we ate in one evening, food was well cooked and had a great flavour only criticism was that we could not eat it all! Given the number of rooms the breakfast choice was good. Rooms are large and comfortable and great views of the coast from my room.

Just got back from a couple of nights at captain cook inn and couldnt fault any part of our experience the staff where friendly and approachable the food was better than excellent already recommended to family will definitely be returning

Large room with a lovely view. Friendly staff. A good breakfast included in the price. The only negative was the missing hairdryer and parking was a little awkward.

Fantastic stay. Lovely pub. The room was fantastic too. Only gripe was the shower was not great. Very clean and the breakfast was excellent. Very polite young man at breakfast too. Will definitely go back. Tracey and Alan

Enjoyed the stay at the Captain Cook.a lovely room with a view,spacious and nice decor.the breakfast and evening meals were very tasty and large portions.The staff at the hotel were really nice and looked after us well...i will definietely return for another break at the Captain Cook ..

My room for the weekend was at the top of the hotel with great views to the north over rolling fields, and to the east out to the sea. The room was large, with an en suite, tea & coffee, and a large wall mounted TV. The bed was comfortable and a good nights sleep was had. On the ground floor was a bar and restaurant serving quality home made food at a very reasonable price. Internet and mobile phone connection was non existant in my room, but an internet connection was good in the bar & restaurant area. The room lacked a chair. I pointed this out whilst in the restaurant and this was rectified before I returened to my room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. If you choose to stay elsewhere in the village then parking is at the top of the hill with all the inconvenience that brings. This hotel has its own parking making it so easy to pop back and forward to your car. If I return to Staithes then this would be my first choice of accommodation.
