夕照酒店(Sunset Hotel)

El principal fuerte del hotel es sin duda la atención, que fue inmejorable. Siempre amables, siempre atentos, nos ayudaron mucho con recomendaciones. Un día incluso nos permitieron tomar el desayuno más temprano porque debíamos salir, pedimos tal vez cereal y nos llevaron el desayuno completo a las 6:30 am. Fueron los mejores, la verdad. El hotel es básico, pero muy limpio y cómodo. Está bastante alejado del Centro, pero lo compensa con los atardeceres sobre el mar más bellos que verás. Ideal si se quiere escapar del bullicio y descansar. Sino, solo es cuestión de rentar un golf cart, una moto o incluso una bicicleta. Recomendadísimos.

La piscina, es utilizada para propósitos de buceo, para lo cual utilizan jabones y en particular los equipos tiñen contaminantes por el manejo de almacenamiento que después son intoxicados a la misma, por consiguiente la piscina mantiene muy sucia.

Muy buena la atención, las habitaciones son cómodas. La limpieza de los baño debería mejorar.

Undoubtedly, the best and most serene destination in San Andres Islands, this place is simply spectacular. We loved the tranquil family run hotel. Frankly, we think it is the best place to be on the island. It is a bus ride away from the craziness of the town center. The food was delicious, the location was very pretty and tranquil, the snorkeling across the street was sweet, pool was refreshing, but most of all was the understanding of tourists needs by the staff and family! We stayed 5 nights and will remember the daily interactions with the family and thoughtfully hand picked staff. So stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The hotel is over the road from the sea and although there is no beach there I'd a ladder to get into the water which is great for swimming or snorkeling. The rooms are basic but clean and secure. There is some hot water in the shower but not always. Has a nice pool which is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is really good one of the best I had in Colombia. The restaurant is really good value and not expensive at all and the food Is good. Now there is nothing around this hotel and the buses are proper hit and miss, so rent a moped or golf cart to give you total freedom. Staff are lovely and will do anything they can to help. Only downside for me was our room smelt really musty and damp when we 1st went in but was fine after the 1st day, it just needed airing

Sunset Hotel is located in the southwest of the island, there are few places nearby so it will certainly guarantee you a really relaxing and peaceful location to base yourself while in San Andres. Our room was basic but super clean and had nearly everything we needed (only a bedside lamp was missed) unfortunately our room smelt considerable musty on arrival which initially made me feel we'd made a mistake in booking, but after leaving the door/window open for a few hours, it cleared for the remainder of our stay so just a consideration for the owners to air the rooms prior to guest arrival to avoid this. The bathroom felt like it was ready for a proper refit, the shower screen was sticky and looks a bit dated. Hot water is available if you are lucky and want to shower mid-afternoon before the divers return. Breakfast was by far the best we had in the whole of Colombia with a choice of four really good options, just a shame we missed our last morning breakfast as we had to leave at 8am for the airport which is the time they start serving. There are no beaches on the west side of the island, which makes this great for snorkelling, however getting into the sea is near on impossible on this side as there are sharp coral rocks but Sunset Hotel has a huge ladder which they drop down over the rocks into the water so perfect if you want to experience the crystal clear bright blue waters and beautiful fish. We hired a moped via the hotel which was well organised and reasonably priced, we feel this or other transport (buggy) would be essential if you want to go out late in the evening otherwise taxi's home could be expensive, that said, the bus will stop outside the hotel but return buses do not run much after 7.30/8pm The hotel does serve food all day and offers a good choice of meals, the prices for food, beer and wine are really competitive so we did not feel as though we were being treated as a captive audience or being ripped off, something someone else had commented on in a review. The swimming pool is a welcome relief from the heat of the sun, it is immaculate and constantly being checked and cleaned if any leaves drop in. The sunbeds are a nice touch but disappointed there were no hammocks, as seen in the photos.

Gabriel and Lindsey who run the property fir the family are lovely people. Everybody who works at Hotel Sunset is warm and caring, from Soyla, who cooks your delicious food every day to our sweet and caring housekeepers. These are just the warmest people. A bit more hot water would be great and a bit more clarity about what is included in a meal or is extra (like after dinner coffee) would be helpful, but these are minor issues. This is a quiet, beautiful spot with a lovely pool and across from excellent scuba and snorkling waters. Also a great scuba school right on site. An excellent choice overall.

Really nice hotel, our room was clean, comfortable and really pleasant. The one minor problem we had was fixed within about 15 minutes so really can't complain. The breakfast was excellent, lunch and other meals also. And the staff will help you in any way they can. Couldn't recommend highly enough. Many thanks, I have a feeling we'll be back!
