費爾蒙酒店(Fairmount Hotel)

I hardly leave bad reviews.. I like to give the benefit of the doubt but this is way overpriced for what my husband and I experienced. For starters, the “valet” is a total scam. They park your car in front of the hotel in a construction zone and bang on your door at 2am because a cop tells them it has to be moved and they can’t figure out your car keys (it’s a key inside the fob which we had already explained). My husband had to move it himself. We’d been back since 10pm and were not told the issue until 2am when they came banging on our door. They moved every car except for my husbands by the time we were back. So obviously, they knew it was an issue but chose not to tell us until they had to. Also, it’s an obvious construction zone they’re trying to use as a parking lot. The 2nd night the valet driver “just left” (when it’s 24/7 service) according to the bartender who then offered to park the car for us… uh no thanks. Our bathroom window shutters were broken so the construction workers right beside the hotel could see into the entire bathroom. I had to put a towel over the window to cover it. When I brought this up to reception because I wanted my reimbursement for the incidental hold charge he said “I’m not surprised”. There’s more but you get it. Sadly I didn’t take pics for proof, but seriously don’t book here unless you want to be inconvenienced and ripped off.

The Fairmount did not feel like a hotel but felt more like staying in a historic home. At check in we were pleasantly surprised when we were handed a good old fashioned key to our room rather than a plastic card. When we entered we were taken back by the unexpected high ceilings and decor. The newly updated bathroom had a vintage feel to match the history of the hotel. The room was the perfect amount of space. I could have slept for days on the comfy bed. Rachel was an absolute delight behind the downstairs bar. The rooftop bartender went out of his way to suggest beverages and also suggested other site we should see on our visit. It is conveniently located within walking distance to the River Walk and many of the other beautiful attractions of the city. I will definitely book this hotel when I visit San Antonio again!

Jennifer provided the best personal and thoughtful service at a hotel that I recall. The rooms are lovely, bed extremely comfortable. Appreciated the Nespresso coffee after i figured out how to use the pod machine :). Loved this experience! Very nice location near the La Villita shops and restaurants and Riverwalk, despite the street construction in the immediate area.

Great stay, will stay again. We’ve been trying to find a good hotel to visit our college student, I think we finally found our spot. The rooftop bar was so good & strong drinks. Everyone was so nice & helpful. I do think the rooms should have a fun for air circulation.

While just a bit on the pricier side, this is an outstanding hotel. First, there is the great history, and they've fully remodeled/updated the place while maintaining the historical look and feel. Location is also excellent; it is easily walkable to all things downtown San Antonio. Staff was great and accommodating. Our only small 'complaint' was that the website is a bit out of date (e.g., check-out time is 11 rather than the web-site listed time of noon). Also, the reservation we made on-line was never acknowledged via email so we were unsure about it. Even an email request for a confirmation yielded no response. But our reservation was good and, again, all other things were great!

Very stylish, beautiful historic hotel, conveniently located close to downtown sites. Fabulous Italian restaurant downstairs. Very reasonably priced for what you get. Spacious rooms. I’ve stayed in many San Antonio hotels and this is one of my absolute favorites. And quieter than on the river walk.

Traveling with two other couple and spent one night at the Fairmount. What an amazing hotel. From registration, check in, check out everything was great. All our rooms were clean and spacious. We had a riot at the roof top bar. Bartender was extremely helpful and shook up some great drinks. Updates were impressive and hope to go back to experience their plans for the future. Jennifer and all staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. We asked a whole lot of questions!!!!
