Staff was professional and courteous. Housekeeping staff was helpful and polite. Reservation was for 12.24.2023 - 12.30.2023. No breakfast onsite. No gym onsite, but a 15 minute stroll allows for use of the neighborhood gym. We started in room227, but was moved to room 222 due to the refrigerator in 222 not function properly. Lots of shopping nearby and beach access was a 15 minute walk.

The hotel is beautiful both on the inside and outside with comfortable cabanas. The outdoor pool and whirlpool is a nice perk, plus the free parking garage makes for easy access. The amenities are complete and each room had a refrigerator and microwave. I also loved the balcony overlooking the ocean as you can sometimes hear the waves when construction is not going on.

It looked like all they did was make the bed. Coffee machine dirty still with the previous Coffee pod. Bathroom had towels and hair all over the room. Only good thing is the bed was a bed.

I enjoyed the fresh ocean air and the sound of waves. I did not go to the beach, but from my balcony, I had an ocean view and relaxing time.

The lobby, stairs, and elevators were dusty, and the room was both dirty and outdated.
The sofa looked like a relic from the 1980s and was in need of cleaning. The bed mattresses were very thin, and the air/cooling unit was noisy.
Despite the desirable location, the asking price was ridiculously high.
For a Volare property, the experience was more like an outdated cheap motel with a four-star hotel price.

Hotel itself was a great experience. My room did have a broken window so it didn’t ever shut. I would’ve opened it either way because I like the breeze but we were right next to the freeway so it was noisy at times.

The staff at the front desk was nice. There is onsite parking which is a plus for downtown SC. While clean in appearance, the full-length mirror in my room had a child's handprints all over it and the light switches for the bed lights also had prints all over them. Lack of cleanliness is a big deal to me. The desk chair is tattered/missing upholstery, which surprised me since my read of prior reviews led me to believe the hotel had been fully renovated.

We were very disappointed to see that the room was very dusty, especially on the headboard. There was also crumbs on the carpet.I am so positive that this room was not vacuumed before we got there and the next day when we got back from our event. Also the noise level at night was pretty loud . Sound like people were running back and fort. I was expecting way better for what I paid. Front desk was excellent no problem there . But your housekeeping needs better training.
