Very nice hotel and property. Rooms are a little tired, bathrooms are spacious but again, a little dated. Quiet, peaceful. Great central location

I booked this place based off of the good reviews here on *******. But it’s clear to me that I probably got one of the worst rooms that they had. Pros: located in a great spot in little Italy, walkable distance to many restaurants and shopping. Saturday mornings, the farmers market is right outside the door. Cons: dated, dirty, smelly. The room I had was right next to the elevator so I could hear it going up and down. When I first opened up the door, there was a very strong stench of some cleaning solution. The longer I stayed in the room, the more I could smell a faint odor of cigarettes. When I returned later that night, the smell of cleaning solution had started to fade, and the strong smell of cigarettes was there. I stayed two nights, and by the time I checked out I was worried that I would smell like cigarettes, regardless of taking a shower. When I returned home, my suitcase and my clothing that I slept in smelled so bad of the sheets and cigarettes. So that meant I smelled like cigarettes when I was traveling home. Also, has very thin walls. I could hear the person above me walking, I heard it when they flushed the toilet, and when they were washing their hands. Would I recommend this place, probably not. Do I want a partial refund for the fact that I smelled horrible and my belongings now smell horrible, absolutely.

Me cambiaron de habitación una cada noche porque algo se descomponía, el personal es muy mal encarado y poco servicial a excepción de un chico que se llama Brandon, el es el único amable. los demás son poco serviciales y no te apoyan en nada, adicional que el hotel no te hace la limpieza del cuarto. hasta que te retiras. lo único bueno es la ubicación pero no vale la pena lo que cuesta contra la mala experiencia. si pudiera solicitaría mi dinero de regreso, porque fue muy incomodo y molesto estarme cambiando cada noche de habitación.

The location is THE best!! Staff was super friendly and Brandon, one of the concierge’s, scored us amazing reservations for brunch at a fantastic restaurant that doesn’t normally take reservations, we were very grateful for him going above and beyond for us! Rooms are kinda small, but totally worked for my husband and I, we only slept there. We definitely we stay there again!

We had to cancel our trip to San Diego because we were flying out the day that Hurricane Hilary was hitting the city. Our flight was cancelled so we called the hotel and they would not honor the a full refund. We expressed our concerns and that we could not get on another flight (they were all cancelled) nor did we want to (I am pregnant) but they still argued that it was just going to be light rain and that if we did not show up we would be charge half of the cancelation fee. Very disappointed :(

On the second day of our stay, we had no hot water for hours and it made us extremely late for our event. On top of that there was no warning about it or update. We were stuck in the room and the tv had no signal. Beds were also uncomfortable. Nice view though.
