great location,lots of restaurants around, everything in walk minutes. staffs are very friendly.

Enjoyable experience all the way through

Amazing experience overall! Love the decor and vibe, very comfortable beds and pillows, all of the staff we met were not just nice, but made you feel welcome! Landshark was great for food and drinks, Dave is the best bartender! We were greated each day with smiling faces! Location is perfect, right in the gaslamp district close to great restaurants and nightlife! Hands down would stay here again!

I was excited to book this property as it looked super nice in the photos and was rated as a 4-star resort. I only stayed one night, but did have a pretty good experience overall. Things I liked: Free wifi throughout the hotel, nice valets, luggage storage, rooftop pool and bar, bed comfort, room decor. Things I didn’t like: Noisy if your room faces the pool, no room upgrade offered even though I'm ******* Gold and I inquired about a bathtub. (I know some of the rooms have spa tubs not just bath/shower combos), fridge in room was warm, beds were made with the comforter on the bottom and a sheet on top (huh?), down pillows (too hot), and onsite restaurant was kind of lame (just bar food, essentially).

Margaritaville was a great place to stay during our trip to San Diego. We were visiting for a concert and also enjoyed ringing in the New Year in So Cal. We were close to all the amenities of the Gaslamp District, Petco Park (where the concert was held), and all the amazing restaurants and bars. We felt safe. The only downside was that we didn’t get the room we had reserved on *******. Margaritaville was willing to offset the cost by reducing our resort fees…but it was still a bummer. Also, window looking out of our room was super dirty. The city is beautiful and it would have been nice to have a clean, clear view from our room. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and use of the bar area with fun games and great service.
