聖迭戈阿爾瑪金普頓酒店 - IHG 旗下酒店(Kimpton Alma San Diego, an IHG Hotel)

The room was stylish and had nice design touches and good lighting. I'm not sure it's value for money, though. The pool deck hours weren't early or late enough, and parking in the Gaslamp is a nightmare—the only option if you're there at peak hours is the price-gouging valet or paid lots that are almost as expensive and less convenient and safe.

You have some really strong team members and some either new ones or not very good. The front was dirty and full of homeless that were aggressive and mean. You need to have someone moving them along so they dont linger and threaten the people using the room. There was broken glass in my room and it was dirty upon check in.

The hotel lobby and bar area were always very smelly like a sewage and or natural gas smell. The front doors were always left open and it was freezing. Our Coffee maker rarely worked and the lights in the room were out in both of our reservations. We requested a bed with 2 queens and got a room with what was maybe 2 full beds.

The rooms looked nice and the beds were comfy and clean but there were some surprisingly poor design and finish quality issues that made the overall experience below average. For instance, the shower design provided inadequate containment of the water and it always ended up flowing out into the main bathroom floor, even with the mat provided. That in itself is a serious safety concern. In addition, one of the lights intermittently flickered and one didn’t work at all. The walls seemed to be paper thin or perhaps the connecting room door allowed every sound to be heard from the adjacent room; sometimes well into the AM hours resulting in poor sleep. The downstairs lobby door also kept swinging open from the wind for the 4 days we were there which made occupying that space somewhat intolerable. The inside temperature was basically the same as the the outside temp which on our visit was in the 40’s that week. That particular part of downtown has some issues too you can Google about as well. As a whole, certainly not worth the price, there are better options elsewhere.

The hospitality staff were all great. I had a delivery sent to the hotel and the items were safely kept as well as accommodations for a late check were provided. The hotel has great ambiance and love the good vibes from all of the staff.

Great hotel overall. I had great help from the staff particularly Tre, Danny, and Jonathan. They were genuine and provided great customer service. This is hard to find sometimes.

So close to everything downtown especially the night life. If you want to be close to night life and restaurants this is the hotel.
