拉霍亞埃斯坦西亞水療酒店(Estancia la Jolla Hotel & Spa)

Be advised- the hotel pool is currently closed for renovations, which they are not advertising on their website or disclosing if you make a reservation by phone (which we did). They will offer to shuttle you to the Valenica to use the pool there, but that is a 20 minute ride. Not what we had in mind for a relaxing visit.

I booked a Garden View room which on the website is described as "Views to the garden courtyard". We arrived early, around 3:30, and had to wait until 4:15 before our room was ready. When we went to our room we found that the room is in the back of the building on the outside and has a view of the parking lot, not a garden view which is what we booked and paid for. When I called the front desk they said they were completely booked but we saw housekeeping was still cleaning rooms that were on the inside and did have garden view. We ended up cancelling the room and booked a room at another hotel. The staff did not help us in any way and we didn't receive any compensation for the bad experience. They wasted 2 hours of our time when we were supposed to be enjoying our vacation weekend. I would avoid this place at all cost.

Booked with Capital One Primer it’s similar program as Amex fine hotel collection. however, the experience we got it’s totally different than FHC. With capital one primer, you’ll get $100 experiences credit / free breakfast $$60 cap / possible room upgrade and possible late checkout. Room upgrade is deluxe king to deluxe king accessible. i don’t know if it’s called an upgrade. also the room 295 is next to open gate which it’s very NOISE when people in and out from the gate. the shower room drain blocked and their front desk like if it blocked totally they can do nothing. glad the housekeeping take care it we have take a shower. also the water isn’t hot at all we basically take warm shower in winter and turn heater to max. Late checkout with our request i mean nothing to complain but wish they can provide before i even ask. $100 credit we decide to have dinner there but the food is very PRICY you will get better food and price in San Diego we can guarantee. this is not worth at all even with $100 credit. breakfast is great. its tasty with reasonable brunch price. Both restaurants charge surcharge fee. hotel decoration it’s very nice but room / dinner / service the destination fee is $40 parking is $40 no mention at all during check in or anywhere else. overall, i’d stay away from the hotel. 1 star for housekeeping team 1 star for breakfast.

We arrived after check in time around 4:30 pm and were told the rooms are not ready. Later we found there was wedding in the hotel and they delayed everybody’s check in till wedding is over. The receptionist were rude, not accommodating. When asked about how they are making it up to make us wait and not get in the room they promised $50 refund which never happened. I never ever go back to this hotel and do not recommend it at all.

Overall, mediocre at best. Great staff and very friendly and professional. Wonderful looking grounds (on the surface). Dishes and glassware left around the grounds overnight (no one checking for this stuff), several of the low-lying lamps were broken, in disrepair or not working, food is WAY overpriced for quality and type. Bad experience trying to get road side service to the self-parking lot due to a flat tire.

Is stayed here for a conference. Once of the best hotel experiences. The grounds are just stunning. The rooms are clean and very quiet. The staff is exceptional. I think it is a bit romantic for a work location but the conference rooms are very nice and had everything we needed. I do wish I could come back again on my own but the price is quite expensive.
