Very old hotel. The AC is very very loud, because it’s old. No way to turn it off or down. When call front desk they do not know how to guide you, they offer to send an engineer, it was late at night k didn’t want to wait. The cables are in plain sight. I don't think it's a safety risk, but it looks terrible; they don't care about appearances. The towel I had in the bathroom was all frayed, how old is it? Throw it away! Lastly, a small thing, the light switch was broken. Can't they replace it?! Is it really that difficult or expensive? Clearly, this hotel doesn't deserve 4 stars. I made a complaint, they called me, apologized, and left me a bottle of wine, but the AC kept making a terrible noise!! Fix the problems, don't just call and apologize!
Beautiful hotel in a great position. Would have given 5 stars but rooms are a bit outdated and some common areas need renovating . The staff are absolutely wonderful and I especially want give a shout out to JASON,JORDAN at the front desk and LIAM who moved our luggage a number of times . They happily showed us a number of rooms till we found the one we were comfortable with for the 8 nights and were extremely obliging and attentive and warm . Much appreciated!!
訪訪客I want to share my recent experience at this hotel, which I regretfully cannot recommend. The hotel has an attractive location but is marred by a lack of basic amenities and poor customer service. During our six-night stay, we discovered on the second morning that there was no hot water. We informed the receptionist, Andy, but were met with a dismissive and rude attitude. We were informed that there would be no hot water for the rest of the day, and this lack of basic amenities was for a total of three days of the six days of our stay. Please note that according to California Civil Code §1940.2, it is the responsibility of the hotel to provide and maintain hot and cold running water for guests. To make matters worse, when we requested to check out early due to this issue, we were offered no refunds as our stay was prepaid on expedia. Expedia told us that the property was to decide while the property said it was expedia.. As I am a hotelier myself, I know it is the hotel’s call in the end. We were offered a shower facility in a separate building which was very inconvenient as we had to walk out of our building and take elevators to get there.. This was not a suitable alternative to the basic amenity that we had paid for. To add insult to injury, at time of check out, Andy offered us only $80 as a refund on a reservation worth over $1500, what a humiliating act, we could not believe it! Better not to offer anything, because really it is a shame to offer this to people.. We were one of the many customers to complain, and we saw that the receptionists had no sympathy towards anyone.. Yes, all businesses are there to make money, but not like this. What they did is close to stealing from someone! I cannot recommend this hotel to other travelers, and I will continue to write on other platforms to warn people..
BBryan GThe staff was very informative, polite, and kind. The front desk manager walked me from the office and down the sidewalk to show me the entrance to where I could find my room. He even helped me solve a kind of tricky situation with competence and ease allowing for compromise and a win-win situation. Honest folks here and a nice stay over.
I stayed at Calista Organic Hotel for a weekend getaway in San Francisco. The hotel's eco-friendly focus was a major draw for me. The room was clean and well-appointed, with organic toiletries and a very comfortable bed. The location is great, close to many attractions and public transportation. The only downside was the limited on-site amenities, but overall, it was a pleasant stay
