白天鵝旅館(White Swan Inn)

A beautiful place. And can park on the street, been here twice with no issues. Just have to repark when street cleaner comes by. Amazing staff. We were able to change rooms after we arrived. We wanted a bathtub. We plan to always book here in the future.

Je n’avais aucune attente particulière vu le bon prix incluant le petit-déjeuner. Notre chambre était tellement spacieuse, avec un coin cuisine et deux espaces lavabos. Chaque fois qu’on ouvrait notre porte de chambre, une odeur de fraîcheur agréable montait à nos narines. Le petit-déjeuner était satisfaisant quoique ne comprenant rien de chaud à part les œufs à la coque mais un effort de variété était observable avec les viennoiseries et les fruits. Dommage que parfois la dame qui ramassait les tables en semaine avait des sautes d’humeur et que la réceptionniste un matin ne connaissait même pas la navette gratuite menant à Presidio Park! Mais sinon excellent hôtel, nous y retournerions.

I booked a room for 3 people. When we got there, all we had was a queen bed. There was no sofa bed.I asked the frontdesk clerk for help with this issue, he said they were all booked. I told them I will move to another hotel and they saud I will be charged for the 2nd night. After a while, this young asian man who looked annoyed by our problem, directed us to speak with the manager. Later, this young lady, very eager to help and understanding of our situation moved us to a king size bed with sofa bed bedroom. To our surprise, the bedroom was on top of a restaurant outdoor seating area. The noise was incredible up to 10pm. After that, you can still hear the noise of waiters removing dishes, moving chairs, etc. The old windows did not close sealed, so the cold air kept coming in and the noise too. The breakfast consists of one pastrie or two. 4 cereals, oatmeal, boiled eggs, yogurt and bread. No deli meat, no cheeses. I payed 70%more than the Intercontinental hotel around the corner, and got three terrible nights of sleep, a lousy breakfast. Look at the mattress of the sofa bed in the attached photos.

We booked a room that says it 'sleeps 3'. But when we show up 9 p.m., the clerk wants another $30 to put a folding bed in there! How can you have a system that says it sleeps 3 and processes through when you've indicated 3 travelers and still end up having only one queen bed? The clerk wouldn't budge but, rather, scrolled down deep into the ******* site so show us where it says, in fine print, that an extra bed will incur more cost. Which is fine, but obviously you wouldn't think you'd need it if you put 3 travelers into your search and the room says it sleeps 3! The problem here is primarily *******'s booking system which borders on fraud but then, knowing this, the night clerk should be more accommodating toward his customers being caught in this awkward situation. Instead, he insisted we pay $30 to my daughter would have a place to sleep and then he asked for another $100 on my credit card as a safety deposit on the room. Please, *******, do not – ever – have customers believe that a room will sleep x people but then having them pay extra for additional beds upon arrival. Obviously, this was a terrible start to our stay and had everybody in a bad mood for hours. Tell me how this policy will benefit the White Swan Inn in the long run? Now, instead of coming back, we won't. And there's nothing the hotel can do to fix our impression. All because of a near-fraudulent booking procedure and customer service's inability to compensate for it.

A well-kept hotel/inn that has its old world charm. While the facility isn’t new, the bed and the pillows are super comfortable. You can tell that a lot of care is put into the upkeep of this place. Nothing fancy but quaint and cozy.
